Simply Irresistible Author's Note

Okay so I don't actually know how or why my story is popular sometimes, I really don't. However I do love the series like no other, they were a huge part of my childhood and I literally grew up with them, and learned many values. So maybe it's my love of them translating to this story.

However I also recognize that there are many many grammatical errors, this is no excuse but I began the story when I was 15 and finished it when I was almost 18, my busiest school years. And I barely have enough time it feels to write much less edit as thoroughly as I should so for that I apologize so much.

Also there are many comments that point out similar things,

1. Out of character:

I am sorry if you think this, I was trying not to veer off far from Rowling but as I am not her, I probably did in more instances than I'm proud of.

For me, I did make Ron into a not like able character. It's terrible but this story is a romance and for me I just felt like his character had such potential to be a jerk. His actions in the books portray him as both Harry's best friend but also the boy who envied him more than anyone else. I took it a little far and made him rather inflated with wealth and fame, so he became the jerk I could imagine him as.

As for Hermione, looking back, yes oh my goodness she is very Mary Sue and I just have no idea how to fix that without re writing my story. I think that I make Hermione so because I love her character. It's so rare for a female character anymore to be smart and independent. So many books and movies, even tv shows downplay the genius in females, its sad, it's so often a man that I wonder a lot, so I more than likely did elevate her in my own mind as my favorite female character so I made her nearly flawless. I'm sorry!

Draco for some reason I find is the total opposite of Ron. He had no siblings growing up, his parents gave him everything new but they didn't teach him the moral values like the weasley children had been taught. Yet for me, he grew up the most. He wasn't dependent on his father to help him fix the vanishing cabinet. He didn't rat out the trio at the manor and he learned to care, empathy for those in his lives.

Whereas for me the moments of Ron leaving when Harry had almost no one else on his side, save Mione, happened twice, he came back both times but the fact he did it at the beginning(GoF) and then at the end(DH) spoke strange volumes of undergrowth to me. So that's how I created my male antagonists and protagonists characteristics.

2. Hermione's change:

I am so sorry if anyone is offended by my story plot, of the makeover, I never meant to insinuate that only looks matter. While my story is intended for pure light hearted entertainment, I also thoroughly believe that everyone should take care of themselves especially women and be confident, no man or person should ever put you down. Style is an expression, if you use it well and keep to yourself.

However you cannot expect to be someone more if you never look the part. I believe in the idea of dressing for the job you want not the job you have. Ask a young steve jobs who once wore cut off jean shorts to meet bankers for loans only to be thoroughly rejected.

Some outfits in this story truly are questionable but not all, they are played off for the rom com genre however as The story went on it just became nice clothes and confidence, with a little fun here at the expense of the cheating fiancé. I am sorry if you believe I was encouraging skimpy outfits for everyday wear. Truly.

Her clothes however are not the focal point of this story and I never intended them to be, its just something that I use as a subject to bring back two people whose lives veered from each other, to slowly start and ease them back into each other's lives.

3. Teddy:

Please everyone I understand that Teddy is not Harry's birth child, at all.

I am well aware of his parentage and his namesake. He is merely the godson but as for me that doesn't mean he can't call the people who raised him as a child mother and father; my cousins are adopted as I wrote Teddy to be in this story.

So he calls Harry and Ginny his parents. There are many adopted children these days, all over the world, many in my family even, so I tried to use that angle. And I think all children have the right to parents, a mom and a dad, supporting and helping you grow up even if they're not your blood. Blood is not the definition of family.

Sorry for this long rant but I felt that after all this time it was probably due time I explain myself

If you want to discuss anything with me, I would love to answer them in the comments!
