My soul is bleeding with every breath I take

What did you do to me I don't feel any pain

I can't peel my eyes off you and my heartbeat race,

Was it you or my dearly mistake?

Standing away from me won't make the deceit reverse,

Turn to face me and drop your cover.

I knew you were evil right from the day we met,

But I couldn't stop myself falling for the devil himself.

Don't you remember how much I was willing to sacrifice?

Or would you rather have me broken than be at your side.

You wouldn't stop at me, I knew long ago

But I thought your hunger for my soul will one day go.

I should have known better than to love a curious one,

Queer to know what shampoo I use and my favourite sweater.

Sending me flowers and cooking for my dear mother,

Smiling like that, who could have guessed what you smother?

You gave me rides and took me for dates,

You made me feel beautiful never ageing a day.

And I thought the devil inside you must have died

It was until the day he again resurfaced.

I could see it in your blue eyes itching to come at me,

The devil that bothered my sleep for days and week.

That slap didn't hurt more than your mirthless laughter,

Waiting for those tears which never came...

Suddenly the ground was warmer than your embrace,

My skinny wrists bleeding where I scrolled your name

I pushed the memories in a box and locked it somewhere inside my mind,

No longer bosoming the affection you threw at me once upon a time.

I am standing in the shower scrubbing my ivory skin bloody red

I can't see that happy-go-lucky girl anymore in my reflection,

I tried to drown myself in this tainted water of my plain bathtub,

Hoping for something I would never get- my salvation.

Yet again fate has deceived me today when I look at you

Standing in the broad sunshine making your eyes sparkle,

But I've learned my lesson and I will trust no smiling face again

Because, even the Devil was once an Angel.
