It was about eight months after Maria found out she was pregnant that she went into labor with my child and she called me and asked me to take her to the hospital so I rushed over and took her to the hospital. She was yelling all the way there. I told her to stay calm and breathe in and out. Maria started cursing me and saying don't tell me what to do. I told her just to calm down and she slapped me. So I shut my mouth and just drove.
So far she had been in labor for fifth-teen hours and she was sweaty as a pig on a hot summer day. She was holding my hand as tight as she could and my hand felt like it was about to fall off. Maria was only five centimeters dilated and she was angry. She yelled at the doctor to get the little demon out of her. So two hours later she was fully dilated and ready to push. The nurses said ok on the count of three Maria you're going to have to give us a real big push here we go one, two, three push!! So Maria did and she was yelling as loud as she ever has...AHHHHHHHHHH!!! Then the nurses said we need two more big pushes one, two, three PUSH!!! So Maria did and she yelled just like she did earlier on both pushes...AHHHH AHHH!!! The baby came out and the nurses got her. I got to cut her belly button cord. The nurses then got the baby cleaned up and Maria got to hold her and you could clearly tell that the baby was mine she has the same nose, forhead, and eyes. The nurses gave the baby to Maria and Maria cuddled and held the baby. She asked me what we should name the baby and I said Chloe. Maria loved the name.
A couple days after Maria had the baby she passed away from fluid built up in her lungs. So there I was left with a child that did not have a mother. I thought about giving Chloe up for adoption but I said to myself no I got to take responsibility for this child. Then I looked down at Chloe and said I promise I will raise you. She just looked up at me and smiled and I smiled back at her. I ended up loving Chloe more then anyone in this world.
