"I don't like this plan" his voice was hard and bitter. He sat in a plush reclining chair swallowing down the strongest alcohol he could get his hands on. A girl sat in his lap moving in seductive circles, but he felt nothing anger. He felt hands slid down his chest and over his stomach, "let us help you forget" she spoke seductively into his ear. "get off me whore" he growled viciously as he pushed the woman in his lap onto the floor as he stood to his feet.
"These girls were top dollar, so try not to scratch 'em up!" he said beckoning to the girl that had just been thrown to the ground She whimpered as she crawled to his side looking like a hurt puppy. "That whore is worth nothing compared to her", he spoke glaring at the woman. She cowered moving closer snuggling up to the other man.
"She'll be fine! Is that what you want to hear Miles? She's a fighter!" he spoke back stroking the call girls's hair. Miles turned and looked at him darkly. He slowly moved closer to him. "How can she when she has no idea she is in a battle?" he spoke through gritted teeth. He pulled his arm back but before he could release it a hand wrapped around his fist. He turned his head to see a young sweet face smiling with glossy red lips and blue eyes up at him.
"Hey and besides we'll get her back! In the meantime, enjoy the money!" she smiled with head tilt at the two men who had been arguing all day. She released his hand and moved herself between the two men. She primped her green dress that made her look like a child, her hair pink hair moved springily due to it's curls.
Miles' eyes softened as he took in her dark green lace-up boots and and multi-shaded green dress with button-up bodice and a single bow that held her collar closed. His anger died as he stared into that dollface with those big blue eyes. "I know you care about what happens to her, you can't tell me that you really believe that with all the unknowns that this could possible go off with out a hitch?" Miles asked her with a pleading gaze. her smile left her lips as she looked away, he knew that there was doubt in her heart. He knew that he was not the only one concerned about the outcome of their plan.
"Stop confusing the girl! leave her alone!" the other man spoke a bottle in his hand. Miles eyes grew angry once again. "What if he tries to rape her, hmm. Did you think about that, what if she gets pregnant? You didn't plan for that." he yelled at the other man.
"You two have been together for the longest, years even. So what makes you think he can do what you couldn't do in years in months?" he spoke a gleam in his eye. Miles' heart seemed to stop, those words had cut deep and brought back some unsavory memories.
He turned and began to walk away. "oh what did I hit a nerve" the other man spoke a light slur on his words. Miles stopped mid stride, "I swear if he hurts her I'll kill him, but first I'll gut you, Hatori!" His voice gradually building to a violent roar that scared the young girl behind him.
She grabbed hold to his shirt. "Miles, calm down, okay we have eyes and ears remember everything will go according to plan" she said her eyes vibrant with worry. He grabbed her hand gently and let it go. It fell sadly to her side.
"Yeah Miles, I advise you to listen to Kyala!", Hatori yelled putting the bottle to his lips once more, "My plans what has earned us prestige and kept us pretty much 3 meals from starving so remember that you ingrate" Hatori spoke coolly but the menace was still present. Miles said nothing and continued to walk away grabbing his bottle of the in-table. "Say something you Bastard" Hatori screamed as he threw the bottle toward Miles. Any other time the bottle would have slammed into Miles, but due to Hatori's drunkenness it slammed into the wall beyond him.
Miles stopped just shy of the door, his anger turning as if by magic to depression."It was also her skills and know how that kept us a bullet from death or a wound from decommission, so you remember that because when you forget who watched your back that is when you get stabbed in it" Miles spoke giving him a side glance as he walked through the door.
Hatori said nothing. He just sat there his hand balled in the hooker's hair. Kyala watched after him, tears falling down her face. What had they done? How could they sell their friend like property? They were all going to Hell, and they all would deserve it.
