Alex and Kaeden were literally dragged from the main streets to alleys, only to reach a deserted neighborhood. Kaeden swore he saw a tumbleweed rolling around somewhere. Beth headed towards a giant and ramshackle house. It seemed more like a mansion, really, but its exterior was left to dilapidate. Beth took out a golden key from her pocket, slid it into the keyhole, opened the large burgundy door, and walked into the derelict household. She gestured for the boys to follow her as she climbed one pair of the stairs that was split into two, leading to even more. The two vampires stood in the middle of the room, looking around, stunned by their surroundings.

"You better close your mouths or bugs will be able to get in."

That snapped them out of their trance. She smirked and motioned for them to follow her nce again. "Come on, you two." When she got to the top of the stairs, she was welcomed by a mirror that took up an entire wall, and she stared at her reflection. Even though she grew up well-off, she didn't dress fancy; a hoodie, jeans, and a pair of converse were more than enough for her. Her body was the type that all girls wanted and all boys stared at, yet she didnt show it off; well, unless it was necessary, but that wasn't very often. Her red hair and blue eyes were what she liked most about appearance.

"Come on" Kaeden mocked her from behind, interrupting her 一again一 from her thoughts and she glared at him 一again一 which made him almost whizz his pants. Alexander just chuckled at the scene in front of him. Something about that chuckle made Beth's anger go away and that irritated her. Are those feelings you're feeling? Her brain taunted her, making her all-the-more pissed.

Once she took them to her room, she layed on her bed, expecting them to leave her be, but they didn't. "So, um..." Kaeden cleared his throat, and she groaned in response. She got up from her very comfortable postion and asked in an annoyed tone, "What?"

"Well, um, w-we were wondering what your plan is," Kaeden was still a bit cautious 一and scared一 around her. All humans, actually. He's a nervous wreck when encountering them, for some reason. Possibly because they could kill him, but everyone knows he could kill them twice as fast. "I mean, you are keeping us hostage, so we should know," Alex remarked. It was the first thing he said ever since he agreed to this whole thing, and he was thinking of about the after-math. Beth wanted to say something back, but paused because she realised that it was true; she did drag them and she did tell them what to do and what not to, but they were the ones to agree to her plan. Its partly his fault, Beth thought.

She sighed then answered, "Today we rest, so consider this place as your house for the day. Though, tomorrow we have a big journey."

"What are we going to do?" Kaeden perked up like a five-year-old going on his first trip. "You'll see," She said, and smiled at his childish behavioir.

Smile? Something's really wrong with me today.

"But," the stern tone came back as she spoke, "if you even think about escaping, you will miserably fail." She held the golden key that she used to open the door; it now hung around her neck by a thin rope. Alex cursed under his breath, he had really regretted his decison about agreeing to her stupid plan. "For now, let's just go downstairs and have lunch."

Saying lunch was awkward would be an understatement.

It seemed as if words were cumbersome. It was so... Silent. Beth and Alex were sitting across from each other on the extremely long dining table. Many dishes of food were placed, anf for just three people, it was way more than enough. Kaeden sat on the side, away from both, stuffing his face of whatever he laid his eyes on. Butlers and maids laid more and more food, and once they finished, stood there silently watching. It was creepy really, but it grew on Beth; it was something she never really wanted to remember, though. She ate from a plate that had a very fancy name she didnt really care about, and as she did, she smirked while watching Alex fidget uncomfortably in his place and steal glances at her.

"You know," Kaeden began speaking again, "I have never tasted anything this good in my entire life. We should really take some with us on our trip, seeing as it's going to be quite long. Speaking of which, where are we going? And about your request of knowing all about vampires, how will we teach you that? I mean, our lives are pretty normal, almost the same as humans; we eat, drink, sleep, although we–"

"Kaeden," Alex growled, his anger getting the best of him again; it was the only word he had said after the conversation they had in Beth's bedroom. Beth, on the other hand, was amused, her smirk still present on her face.

"Oh, but you see, dear Kaeden, you said it yourself, almost," she whispered the last part, but made it loud enough for both of them to hear her words. "So, to answer your questions, we are going to a secure place that only a handful of people know about. As for your other question, you will just simply answer every question I have in store for you." She made it sound like a piece of cake with no risks included.

"And then what?" Alex's anger won't be gone any time soon. "I beg your pardon?" Beth asked, sounding confused.

"And then what? What happens after you finish from us? Are we lab rats to you?! You use us then throw us away?!" Beth's first thoughts were 'it speaks'. "Well you did sign up for that, didn't you?"

"Yes, but after you blackmailed us to it," Alex said those words, and stormed ut right after.

What a child, Beth thought. She sighed and wiped her mouth with her handkerchief. She then dragged her chair backwards, making an annoying sound against the shiny polished tiles as she did so, but even through that, Kaeden didn't bother to look up and continued eating. Beth went up the long stairs for the second time that day and headed towards one of the guest rooms which Alex was staying in at that time. She opened the door as it was not locked and leaned against the door frame, crossing her arms while doing so

"Look big boy," she spoke using her soft, soothing voice, "You have every right to be angry, but it's not like I'll put you in machines and observe. It's just a few question, I observe a few actions, then you're as free as a bird. Well, not completely, since your father will search for you, and so will the goverment once they know that you're on the run." Kaeden had rambled on and on about Raspiotin and some other random stuff when they were on their way to the house, Beth, oddly, was listening. Kaeden was shut up several times by Alex through a punch in the rib when necessary. "Now rest, little Lexi. We have a big day tomorrow," Beth cooed, but the only response she got was a huff and a back turned towards her.

Alexander tip-toed to her room, hoping that Beth wouldn't be able to hear him. He approached her slowly and carefully, then croached down to reach his hand out to grab the key. He suddenly came to mid-stop when he noticed where the key was lying. His cheeks burned a light shade of pink, the golden object sparkling in the small amount of moonlight falling upon it. "You know," Beth spoke as she suddenly sat upright, "if you really want me, all you have to do is ask." Caught red-handed, Alex thought to himself, feeling as if a flame was lit under his cheeks. He felt a little weirded out by what she said, though, and asked, "W-what? What are you talking about?" "Well, you've been giving me all sorts of signs. You know, all the glancing, fidgiting, arguements, etcetera, etcetera," she answered, a smug smirk on her face. Oh God, what the hell is she on about?
