Creepiest Job Ever

I thought there was something off about the interview, the manager seemed desperate, too desperate, almost as though something from the company's past kept people from applying, but I really didn't care. I needed this job. Err! Err! Err! Err! Err! My alarm went off at 11:30 pm, I had stayed up much later but I had never woken up that late on purpose. My body didn't want me to wake up, it wasn't programmed too wake up at that time. I finally got up, put on my night guard suit and grabbed my flashlight. I was excited to start my new job.

I arrived at the restaurant and used the key the manager gave me to get into the building. He had told me how to get to my office and that was just about it. I went into my office and happened to pass by the show room, I saw three animatronics standing on the stage, they were by far the creepiest things I had ever seen. The manager had told me their names, Bonnie the Bunnie, was the blue animatronic with a guitar, Chica the chicken, was yellow with a cupcake and Freddy the bear was brown with a black hat and a mic. They just stared at the end of the room, no movement, no life. I made my way to my office, put down my keys and sat down in my chair, "Well I'm going to be here for a while!" I thought happily, "I'll be working here for a long time." I noticed an answering machine on my desk, a light was flashing showing that I had a message. I reached for the button and began listening to the recording, " Uh, hello? Hello, hello? Uh, hello and welcome to your new summer job at the new and improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Uh, I'm here to talk you through some of the things you can expect to see during your first week here and to help you get started down this new and exciting career path." I let out a slight bit of laughter, it didn't seem very exciting.
"Uh, now, I want you to forget anything you may have heard about the old location, you know. Uh, some people still have a somewhat negative impression of the company. Uh... that old restaurant was kind of left to rot for quite a while, but I want to reassure you, Fazbear Entertainment is committed to family fun and above all, safety. They've spent a small fortune on these new animatronics, uh, facial recognition, advanced mobility, they even let them walk around during the day. Isn't that neat? -clears throat- But most importantly, they're all tied into some kind of criminal database, so they can detect a predator a mile away. Heck, we should be paying them to guard you." "Cool I think I want one!"
"Uh, now that being said, no new system's without its... kinks. Uh... you're only the second guard to work at that location. Uh, the first guy finished his week, but complained about... conditions." Well that sounded distasteful, I thought I began to realise the reason the manager was so desperate. "Uh, we switched him over to the day shift, so hey, lucky you, right? Uh mainly he expressed concern that certain characters seemed to move around at night, and even attempted to get into his office. Now, from what we know, that should be impossible. Uh, that restaurant should be the safest place on earth." I felt a chill go down my spine. "So while our engineers don't really have an explanation for this, the working theory is that... the robots were never given a proper "night mode". So when it gets quiet, they think they're in the wrong room, so then they go try to find where the people are, and in this case, that's your office. So our temporary solution is this: there's a music box over by the Prize Counter, and it's rigged to be wound up remotely. So just, every once in a while, switch over to the Prize Counter video feed and wind it up for a few seconds. It doesn't seem to affect all of the animatronics, but it does affect... one of them." "Well what's the use of the box?" I thought to myself, "-clears throat- Uh, and as for the rest of them, we have an even easier solution. You see, there may be a minor glitch in the system, something about robots seeing you as an endoskeleton without his costume on, and wanting to stuff you in a suit, so hey, we've given you an empty Freddy Fazbear head, problem solved! You can put it on anytime, and leave it on for as long as you want. Eventually anything that wandered in, will wander back out." I looked around to find the head that the phone guy spoke about. I found it beneath my chair and put it on, it was slightly too big, but I supposed it would have to do.
"Uh, something else worth mentioning is kind of the modern design of the building. You may have noticed there are no doors for you to close, heh. But hey, you have a light! And even though your flashlight can run out of power, the building cannot. So, don't worry about the place going dark. Well, I think that's it. Uh, you should be golden. Uh, check the lights, put on the Freddy head if you need to, uh, keep the music box wound up, piece of cake. Have a good night, and I'll talk to you tomorrow." I looked at my watch, 12:11 pm I knew would be there for a while. The place was huge, there was a big dark hall leading directly out the front of the office and two vents directly on either side of me. There were four black, disabled TV monitors and a desk directly in front of me with buttons on the left and right sides, reading light and light, I pushed the one on the left and the left vent lit up, making it easy to see inside. The inside of the vent was surprisingly clean, besides the cobweb at the far end of it. Each vent had a small camera fitted too the corner facing to the direction the vent was leading. On the left side of the front wall beside the hallway leading out the office, was the same picture that was in the newspaper and it said HAPPY BIRTHDAY underneath. I put my feet on the desk a little too hard and saw something bounce beside them. I took my feet off the desk, curious and ran my hand along the bottom edge of the table. I felt a crescent groove and pulled it up. It folded out like a laptop to reveal a monitor with a camera feed on it of the show room stage. I could see the three animatronics on screen, with their huge eyes. The one looked like a chicken, the other like a bear, and the other, like a weird bunny. They stood staring directly to the right. I couldn't help but wonder when they would start moving.
