Ella was getting sick of sitting like a loner, especially because people were either staring at her or avoiding her like she was a huge spider. She pulled the sleeves of Ryans hoodie further over her bandaged arm, and took out her phone. No messages from Carys, and it was already 10 minutes into break! She couldn't wait any longer, she didn't want to be late for another lesson. Then she heard footsteps behind her, and turned around in relief...only to find it was Lanelle, not Carys. They didn't exchange words. Lanelle simply gave her a filthy look and carried on walking. Tottering along in those stupid high heels, why did she insist on always wearing heels to college? Ridiculous. Now Ella was in an even worse mood, and with a sigh of exasperation she picked up her bag and stomped all the way to her second lesson. Better to be early than late. At least she could guarantee her seat this time. Her lesson was Biology, where she sat with three people she knew.
She was relieved to see that Katy Fields was already in there, but Katy didn't reciprocate her relief. She gave Ella a startled look, then seemed to realise it and tried to cover it with a smile. Ella nearly rolled her eyes, she was sick of being treated like she had a contagious disease. But luckily Emily Carter came in and managed, as always, to turn all the attention on to her. Emily had a knack for gaining attention very quickly, mostly because she announced herself when she entered the room, or shouted something like "Oh my god you will NEVER believe what I just heard..." and go on to tell some ridiculous story very loudly. For once, Ella was glad to let Emily talk for England and, even more surprising, was glad when the lesson finally begn and she lost her mind to enzyme growth...

The next lesson however, she couldn't get her mind off of her life. She was spending a free lesson with Ryan and Carys, and after Carys made an excuse about having to stay late in her lesson to talk to her teacher Ella excused her from missing their meet up at break. Carys looked distraught when Ella entered the cafeteria, and proceeded to beg her forgiveness. Ella could only assume this was because she looked so angry, which she supposed she was, but she wasn't angry with Carys. She was just angry at how she was being treated, but when she caught sight of a pair of brown eyes sparkling at her accross the room her anger melted away. She smiled at Ryan, and he smiled back. But that was it. She saw him open his mouth to say something, but suddenly he turned his attention to his friend Chris who was sitting next to him and appeared to be telling a story...with some very interesting arm actions. Carys grabbed her and sat her down.
"Ryan wants to ask you out. Now." She grinned excitedly. Ella didn't know what to say. Now? As in, right now? What did she say? What did she do?
"Now you're probably wondering what the hell to do because I know you and you'll be silently panicking right now BUT" and here she paused and gave Ella a grin. "Ryan knows you too, and he knows how nervous you get about everything, so if you say something stupid he probably won't mind."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence Carys!" slowly, slowly people started to trickle away to their next lessons, and the room was left alot emptier. Just Ella, Carys, Ryan, Chris and a few other people from the group of friends were left now, and Carys was quietly hissing advice to Ella, who was barely half listening as she stared at Ryan, who seemed to half listening to Chris too with a nervous look on his face. Was Chris giving him advice as well? Wow he looked scared. It was kinda cute. Too soon he was getting up, and Carys kicked Ella in excitement who turned to her angrily.
"Uh, Ella?" said Ryan cautiously. Ella turned away from Carys, glowing red and utterly lost for words.
"Uh..yeah?" she stammered. Ryan sat down on the chair opposite, and Carys made to get up and move before Ella pulled her back down into her chair, pinching her purposefully. She was not being left alone in this. Ryan tapped his knee, nervously, before finally saying
