Chapter 7

"Luke, you need to stay quiet babe-" I cut myself off realising I had just called one of the boys I hate the most 'babe', I earned a glare from Jai as we were crouched down in the boys toilet waiting for the all clear, trying to escape this school without anyone seeing us was harder than you'd imagine.

"Hmmm", he slurred trying to say something but I stopped him by putting his hand over his mouth as I could hear a pair of heel clicking down the hallway.

"Right, quick come on." Jai said jumping up and running across to the entrance, I followed his actions dragging a drunk along with me. What is my life?

We soon reached my car as Jai shoved Luke in the backseat fairly aggressively. I glared at him doing so and he softened up, I got into the drivers seat as Jai did the same yet at the passenger side and we quickly took off, hoping none of the teachers saw us and followed.

I kept my eyes on the road and just sighed, tightening my grip on the steering wheel as my knuckles turned white. Jai noticed and put his hand on my thigh rubbing it; I turned to look at him and gave him a grateful smile.

This boy.

As we stopped at a stop light I turned round to look at Luke passed out and couldn't help but wonder why he does all these things, I'm sure he has a heart somewhere - all he needs is the right person to help him.

"Where am I going?" I asked turning to look at Jai, referring as to where we should take Luke.

"Just take him home, then we'll go back to yours and watch movies or something, there's no point going back into school now." He replied checking the time. I copied his actions and realised it was 1:30 anyway so we only had an hour left.

I pulled up outside the Brooks' and waited for Jai to take his twin brother inside. Soon enough he came back, and got back into the car. Putting his seatbelt on he sighed.

"He's such a dick, Beau was home and now he has to deal with him." He muttered.

"Hey." I started softly, as he looked up at me, "I'm sorry." I finished, kissing his soft lips, before he pulled away.

"No, I'm sorry. He's my brother. I wish he wasn't but he still is and you shouldn't be having to deal with all this." He said quietly.

I kissed him again before pulling away and we drove back to mine.

In the middle of our second movie I got a text message; I checked it and it was from an unknown number.

'I guess I should be saying sorry for making you help me, but I'd rather say it in person. I'm guessing you know who I am so meet me at my place tonight at 11. Don't bring Jai.'

I sighed, shaking my head, should I go?

"Are you okay babe?" Jai asked interrupting my thoughts, I looked over at him in the doorway after getting popcorn and smiled, nodding.

How is he Lukes twin?

"I'm gonna head up to bed now, you coming up soon?" I heard a voice, I turned round from the computer to see Jai.

"Yeah, I'll be up in a bit, just let me finish this." I smiled, before checking the time,

10:15

"Bea doing homework? Aren't you a rebel?" He smirked.

"Shut up." I laughed.

After half an hour I crept upstairs to see Jai fast asleep in bed and felt guilt wash over me. Should I really be doing this?

Screw it, this boy intrigues me.

I pulled up outside the same house for what seemed like the millionth time ever and stopped the engine.

"What am I doing?" I asked myself, shaking my head. Yet still managed to open the car door, walk up the drive and knock on the door.

I checked the time to see that it was 11 on the dot and took a deep breath, interrupted by the door opening abruptly and Luke standing there.

He looked a mess.

His hair was all over the place, his eyes were bloodshot and he looked like he'd been crying. I looked him up and down but stopped at his hands to see them all bruised, scabbed and bleeding.

What the fuck.

"Woah." Was all I could manage.

He let out a low chuckle and steeped aside to let me in. I hesitated at first but soon I was sat on the sofa staring at the wall - there was a hole in it, explaining Luke's hands.

He walked in with two cans of something i'd never heard of and handed me one. I placed it on the table beside me. My intentions were not to drink it as I didn't trust Luke on any level.

"I believe you were going to apologise?" I managed to say, still staring at the mess of a man before me.

"Oh, nah, I don't do apologising." He said, laughing bitterly.

"And I don't do coming round to psychos houses." I said, standing up and beginning to walk out the room before he grabbed my hand. I turned around.

"I'm sorry."

And the next thing I knew his lips were on mine, and I didn't stop.

Why didn't I stop?

Our lips worked together as he slowly brought his tongue and asked for entrance, I gladly accepted.

I kept trying to bring myself to stop kissing him but I felt magnetised towards him - I couldn't stop.

Eventually he pulled away and smirked, I looked down feeling guilt and shame.

Jai.

"I-I better go." I murmured, quickly exiting the house and getting into my car, I pulled out of the drive and drove as far as I could before tears clouded my vision. I pulled over and sobbed.

What had I done?
