Letter to all those who are learning to love themselves:
The Stars amaze you and the simple sight of a group of trees makes you smile. When the wind blows in your hair you feel a little prettier. You rub other peoples backs just because you want them to feel loved. You have a heart and that's why you cry over everything. You care too much and love too deeply, but no one ever said that wasn't okay. Don't fry your hair because you want to fit in. Don't dress differently because you don't want to be you. You are you and everyone loves the you that you are. There are flaws that are imbedded into you, like your clumsiness or being over dramatic or wanting others approval or overthinking things. Maybe being to positive gets you hurt and maybe being to negative stops you from having fun, but you're still learning to dance. You've gotten through things that should've destroyed you and you've learned to walk away from bullshit. You're growing everyday. You're learning it's okay to make mistakes. You're learning it's okay to love someone from a distance. You've learned that you can care and love and miss people without wanting them in your life again and you know that you'll never let them hurt you again. You sing in the car and dance in parking lots. You run to hug people. You don't speak when others are hurting and you get pissed when the people you love won't tell you what's wrong because it scares you. Everything scares you and that's alright because the other side of fear is excitement. If you're scared then you're doing something right (or maybe not, you're probably not doing something right but you're young, you're not suppose to do anything right. Hell, you're not going to do anything right when you're 54. It's life). Keep growing, keep learning, keep loving, and when you've finished doing all of those things it will be time to give this letter to your children and grandchildren.
