CHAPTER 2 Rogers p.o.v
So when I woke up I was on all fours and I tasted blood than I looked at sunny and he was died with the words “he was not a good protector get one from the shelter in the woods hears the route you must take” written on the back of a paper and I flipped it over and saw a map “ok so to the meadow than a mile west to the run down cabin than walk in and you will know what to do from there” I read the instructions under the map part “know what to do from there what does that mean well I mine as well go maybe someone will tell me what’s going on “I said to myself I was walking out my back door to the woods and as soon as I got in the woods I took off to the cabin when I got there and I felt really wired than I walked in and there was a growl from the corner
“Who are you “it said
“My name is roger”
“Ah the new wolf in town hmm”
“I just moved here but what do you mean wolf?”
“Wolf there’s a reason this town is in the middle of a huge woods”
“What do you mean?”
“Wow a stupid wolf the town you live in is a werewolf town”
“Ok shocking but can I ask your name I told you mine “I asked him after getting over the initial shock
“my name is Cray “he said stepping out of the shadow in the corner and as he stepped out I saw he had brown fur with white dots and a small scar on his paw and then out of the corner on the opposite side a rhodesian ridgeback came out
“That is my ridge my protector dog which is why you came is it not?”
“Yea”
“well than follow me “he said and started to walk to the middle of the cabin than he barked and a little door opened up and there was an underground tunnel that he went into with I his dog and I followed than he barked again and it closed and we walked for a nice 5 min than he opened a door and there was an animal shelter with just dogs
“Just walk around and you will know when you find your protector “he said then walked away
“I’ll just know what does that mean?” I said walking around than I felt something and I looked into then pen next to me and there was a St. Bernard and it jumped up and started barking than Cray came running over
“You found it?” he asked
“Um sure”
“Well the dog barked so it’s yours “he said than opened the door and it walked out
“What are you going to name him?”
“Um.....lake”
“Lake nice well I will show you out” so we walked out and Cray and his dog went right back to their corners
“um bye” I said but all he did was growl so I ran off back to the house and wow can I run fast so I ran back got into my house than I remembered that I’m still a wolf how could I forget something like that anyway?
“Ok so how do I change back? “I asked myself
“Think human “someone said
“Who said that?”
“Me “lake said than walked out of the room he was in
“You can talk!?!?!?!”I asked really surprised
“We both can well through our minds I should say” he said than I noticed that him mouth was not moving nether did cray's and neither did mine this entire time even though we were talking
“Just think human and you will go back” he said sitting down and scratching behind his ear so I thought human and next thing I knew I was human
“How do I go back to a wolf?”
“Think wolf” so I thought wolf and I was a wolf
“Hey I’m hungry get down here and make me some food” he said so I changed into a human and walked down and made him some food
“Ok when my parents are here you can’t talk” I said to him
“fine with me “he said eating and I walked up to my room and right at the bottom of my window there’s a seat so I sat down and looked out than lake jumped up with me and we looked out the window and saw some people moving in right next door to me
“Well they are in for a surprise “I said
“We should go to bed its late “Luke said
“Or do you want to go for a run?”
“You read my mind” he said and jumped up
“ok it 9:00 and my parents will be home at midnight so we have 3 hours “I said and walked out with lake and we walked to the meadow and saw this guy standing there he had black hair short sleeved shirt and pants and he is wearing all black and I walked out of the woods and into the meadow
“Hello “he said his back still facing me
“Hi” I said back to him
“What’s your name? “He asked looking at me he has a scar going all the way down his left arm with ghostly blue eyes
“My name is roger what’s yours?”
“Hunter”
“Did you just move into that town?”
“Yea I did just move into the werewolf town”
“How did you know?”
“Because I’m a wolf how do you think I got this scar?” and he showed me the scar
“Do you have a pack or are you a lone wolf?”
“Um I don’t know I was guessing that that entire town is a pack”
“No it’s just were all the packs intertwine so all the packs live here hey do you wanted to start a pack with me?”
“Sure hey were's your protector?”
“Right here “he said than a golden retreaver came running to him “what about yours?”
“Lake “I said and he walked out of the woods and into the meadow
“Ok so that’s the start of a pack to now do you want to us to fight to see who will be the alpha or we can both be?”
“Both”
“Good idea because you will never stand a chance against me”
“How do you know that?”
“Cuz you were changed yesterday”
“How do you know that? “I asked really surprised
“If you were a wolf as long as me you would know”
“How long have you been a wolf?”
“Half my life”
“Wow that’s long”
“It feels short like I swear just yesterday I was seven”
“Hey I promised my dog a run so u wants to come?”
“yea sure “he said then turned into a pure black wolf with the scar still down his left ‘arm’ than I changed and we were off we ran for a good hour than we walked out of the forest and back in to the town and saw people moving in on the other side of my house
“Really more people they are going to be surprised”
“No it feels like they have been a wolf there whole life” he said
