Prologue

Mackenzie was a typical teenage girl

like any other. Her family lived in a quaint home in the middle of Manchester, and her and her older brother Jack attended Loreto High Secondary School. They were particularly wealthy and lived in a rather large home and had friends over a lot of the time. Jack, Mackenzie's brother had a best friend named Niall, they had been best friends since the third grade and Mackenzie always thought that Niall was obnoxious and weird, I mean any friend of Jack's would be, right? Until, Niall grew older and hit puberty. Like any boy, his voice got deeper, he grew taller, got more handsome, and of course had his teeth straightened. Somewhere along the way Mackenzie grew quite fond of Niall, but wanted to keep to herself because it was obvious he wouldn't like her back, he was her brother's best friend for Christ's sake! But one day Mackenzie finds out that Niall likes her back, is this love or just simply infatuation? Find out in 'Tongue Tied.'
