Mirrors

They can tell lies

But they can also tell the truth

Your eyes turn away

You do not want to see the truth

Do want to realize that you know the truth

You do

The truth is buried under fear

Under lies

Under fake ness

Under constant blame

It digs its way out

You push it back down

It gets stronger

It feeds on pity

On remorse

Until you can contain it no more

Your reflection knows the truth

And you are your reflection

The truth has shown itself

And you can no longer look away
