I was training in the mountains of Sparks Nevada, when I saw a ship crash down near my home.

I always dreamed about becoming an astronaut when I looked into the sky I knew there was more than just what the eye can see. I knock down doors to get the knowledge I needed to become successful. However, everything comes with a price
Chapter 1: Can I Live
I thought by moving my dreams would come true. I see demons fellow you no matter where you go or failures the goal is to face them.
I just wanted to finish college and travel space. I met a lovely woman, great job; felt life was perfect until an accident changed my life.
Chapter 2: Wishing on a Star
My name is Chris Winston I am 35 years old my childhood was good. Did not have trouble with women, was A and B student, and parents were always there. I had a full time job working at best buy. However, I knew I could do more.
Chapter 3: Choices
Some days I wish if I had rich, parents how would my life be. Would I have to work, able to get the newest cars, or be able to travel thoughts? For fun, I played video games like Halo, Left for Dead, Call of Duty, Dead Space, Resident Evil etc. I enjoyed movies like 5 Element, transformers, Resident Evil. These were my outlet from the world. You able to forget about what is negative and meet people playing on line.
Chapter 4: Change
They say in life you will only have three best friends in your life I met seven. Around them it was like family but you always that one in the group who getting in trouble. His name was Ethan he was like my little brother always getting him out of trouble. I am always preaching to me about right and wrong by learned that people have to find their own path in there time. Nevertheless, one day that little brother stuff changed Wednesday March 3 is the day I never forget. It was like another day all of us link up to hangout. I had to go pick up Ethan from his house I was fine with that. As I arrive to his house, the scene I saw was shocking. My little brother, friend, was beating up on his girlfriend. In these moments, we all have two choices one mind your own business or two step in to stop. Most of the time I would walk away but I could not watch the beating. I rushed out the car
Broke them apart as I was trying to get Ethan in the car the unexpected happened his girlfriend pulled out a gun from her purses and shot him.
I watched my brother fall in slow motion. The time I grappled the gun from his girl hand the damaged was already done.
Chapter 5: You must Love Me
Was I wrong for jumping in? Could have I done anything to stop them fighting? Did I talk to Ethan enough? Did Ethan know this girl well? All thought in my head as I held his cold body close. It is crazy how when you need help nobody is around but when you don't everybody has his or her hand out. How was I going to explain this to his parents, family, and our friends?
I never been so nervous in my life. As I approached his door, everyone was sitting in the living room like normal. I guess it is the norm hearing gunshots.
I knocked the brother answered telling him the news his face never shad a tears. Like he wanted it to happen and the sad thing is the whole family had the same face expression. Well that is one less mouth to feed.
What the fuck?
Who loves ones would acted like that.
I punched the brother in the face and left.
Chapter 6: Feel It
I was messed up for the next few days. Wondering why
Going to his funeral was going to be the hardest.
I have people thinking I caused his death, my friends turned their back on me, and even my family had their doubts.

Chapter 7: Lucky Me
It was the longest day ever. Everything hitting me at once looking at his face all I had was flash backs of his death.
I wondered if I have jumped in front of the gun would it be me laying in the coffin. Thoughts heading back home, I knew it was time for a change. On my bed was mail and one stuck out me NASA.
I got an offer to space travel, you only live once

2 Years later
I'm laying beneath the water knowing my journey was over.
