Fearful Minds

Walking around day after day

Thinking what we can't say.

Because the obvious is hidden

All talk of it is forbidden

Hoping that something will happen

But fearing it as well

We are living contradictions

We know but are afraid to tell

The things your heart can feel but your eyes can't see

All around us but we don't want them to be.

We would rather live in ignorance

Rather than admit,

we know they exist.

Our hearts know what our brains don't
