The elements of nature were raging. Pitter-Patters fell into a rhythm, tapping every other second. Jane scooted up on the arm of the couch, not wanting to disturb Maura who had fallen asleep on her lap over an hour ago.  She could feel the blood flow in her legs clogging, and lifted Maura up into her arms. As she walked toward their bedroom, she lost her footing a bit and her ankle rolled. She quickly regained her balance, and laid Maura in their bed. Jane rubbed her eyes and dragged herself to her side. She slid under the covers and drifted off.

"Isles."

Jane's eyes shot open and she heard the familiar screeching of her phone. You're kidding. She rolled her eyes and allowed the call,

     "Rizzoli..."
Her tone was snappy and the other line knew she was clinching her jaw biting away at the anger. Jane looked at Maura with heavy eyes.
"I just wanted to lay in bed with my girlfriend!" She yelled to no one, motioning her hands toward Maura.
Maura cut her eyes and smiled. She patted Jane's thigh then raised herself off the bed. Jane threw her head back on her pillow. She heard the clomping of heels, she sat up and looked at Maura.

   "Really?" Maura tilted her head,

"What?" She looked down at her outfit.
Red Ralph Lauren dress, freshly bought stilettos, and a Vera Wang blazer...

"You don't like it?"

Jane opened her mouth slightly and presented her Boston Athletic Division t-shirt and sweatpants.
"Do you not like this?" She smiled and saw Maura's eyes widen. Jane broke into a giggle.

"Kidding... I'll go change." Maura smiled but Jane sensed her relief. She went up behind her,

"You're such a priss..." She whispered jokingly and then kissed her neck. Maura whipped her head around and her jaw dropped,

"I am not!" She whined. Jane chuckled at her teasing and took her keys off the dresser and jingled them.

"Let's go."
Maura's eyes widened again, "No! I don't like it when you drive, you go way too fast and-" Jane raised her eyebrow.

"Prissy?" Maura asked. She smiled and they both laughed. Jane opened the front door and motioned Maura. Rain drops flooded into the house and Maura smiled and hesitantly walked toward the door, and Jane followed whipping open the umbrella.
