Jane: with Maura clinging to her hip in attempt to stay fully covered by the umbrella, came up behind Korsak.

"Whadda we got?"

" Young, female, stabbed to death and-" He turned to Jane's unamused face. Jane looked at Maura and smiled weakly.

"Dr. Isles can determine time of death as soon as the storm passes..." Jane motioned her eyes sternly to the body. Maura gave an a ha face and hesitantly inched into the rain. Jane rolled her eyes and held the umbrella over her lover, letting the rain soak her.

"Rigger says she's been dead for at least four hours, the rain has washed most of the blood away from her body, and she has many abrasions to the tops of her feet, which looks consistent of one who has been dragged."

Jane examined around the decaying person, and spotted paper that had oddly not been deteriorated by the water. She gloved her hand and opened it to a child's drawing of hearts. Jane read the poor penmanship on the bottom.
To:Mommy... Love: Allie
Jane's eyes softened.

"She was a mom..." She gave a doleful look to the young mother that laid dead. Maura could sense the nervous aura surrounding Jane. She looked at her team,

  "Go ahead and bag her."

Jane watched the zipper of the body bag close over the body then started toward the car. Maura limped after her, fighting through her heels and the rain puddling around her feet, while simultaneously holding the umbrella. She stumbled but caught her balance on Jane's shoulder. Jane grabbed her hand, recognizing the clomping of Maura's stilettos. Their clasped hands fell in between each other's waist and Maura began to study Jane's expression while they walked.

"What's wrong with you?"

"What?" Jane threw her head back slightly. Maura squinted her eyes,

"That came out wrong... I meant are you alright?"

Jane nodded. She opened the car door leading Maura into the passenger side, then she plopped herself into the drivers' seat, making a unpleasant face at her wet clothing. She felt Maura looking at her intently, she let out a sigh and smiled with wide eyes. She leaned in for a kiss, Maura rolled her eyes and accepted.
Their lips pressed against one another's and they released, smiling and still leaned close to each other's faces. Maura broke the silence,

"We're talking about your feelings when we get home Jane Clementine..."
Jane threw her hands against the steering wheel.

"Dammit." She grunted. They pulled into the driveway and Jane put the car in park and then turned to Maura abruptly.

"Can we do something I'll enjoy before the feelings bullshit?"
Maura undid her seatbelt and scrunched her face.

  "Like what?"

Jane slumped down in her seat with frustration.
"Really? Just- just get out of the car, you'll catch on."

Maura did as told and followed Jane through the door. Jane latched the lock on the door and fast walked over to Maura, to which she took into her arms and kissed her passionately. Maura fell into the kiss and Jane began to unzip her dress.
Jane let a breath trickle down her beloved's skin. Maura let out a whispered oh. Her dress hit the floor and Jane began kissing her neck. Maura ran her fingers through Jane's wet curls. The only sounds to be heard was the pattering of the rain, the pressing and releasing of the two lovers' lips and the occasional sigh of pleasure.
