Denis woke up in the hotel room. His delicate legs were entangled in Ben's. He gazed at the man's beautiful sleeping face and then averted his sight to his naked tattooed body. Denis brushed his scrawny fingers across Ben's face, as his eyes fluttered open. "Good morning " Denis beamed. Ben rolled over " I'm going back to sleep...". Denis planted a soft peck on Ben's forehead and smiled.
Bzzzzt. Bzzzt. Bzz-. Denis rushed to his phone, without checking the caller id. When he realised who it was his Ukrainian words tumbled out his mouth, until he was told some awful news. The call ended and Denis burst into tears. Ben shot up and hugged him. "Hey man, what's wrong?" Ben asked, seriously concerned; it wasn't usual to see Denis cry. "I have to go back to Ukraine...".
At the airport, Denis hugged the band. "I hope you come back soon Den" Ben smiled. "Yeah, I hope your mum gets out of hospital soon, man" Cam rubbed Denis back, in a consoling manner. Denis said his final goodbyes and walked through the gateway. As soon as Denis left Ben's heart sank. 'Fuck..' He thought to himself. He missed him already. "You alright mate?" James tapped Ben. "Yeah...I think".For the rest of the day Ben felt lost. It was like his heart went along with Denis to Ukraine. He hated that Denis had to leave but his mother was seriously ill.
The next day Ben laid in his bunk pondering hopelessly. Bzzttttttt bzzzttttt bzzzzt bzzttt. He picked up his phone, which showed Denis attempting to video call him. He answered it and smiled "I guess you're in Ukraine already?" "Yeah, but I have such bad jetlag" Denis laughed. "I-I love you Denis.." Ben stuttered. "I love you too Ben".
