Am I A Man, Or A Mouse?

Chapter 2

I woke up to the sound of a constant beep and the hideous smell of medicine. My head throbbed, along with my left leg and right arm.

I snapped open my eyes and looked around the room. I was in a hospital.

Hospital.

Where is mom? Dad? Are they okay?

My mind was going a mile per minute. "H-Hello?" I called out, each syllable that left my lips sent a stab of pain into my head.

A blonde lady came in wearing light green scrubs so I guessed that she was a nurse. "Hey there, Mr. Alexander! I see you're finally up!"

Kill me. This chick is too peppy for my liking..

She walked over to the wall and pressed some kind of button. After I heard a small beep coming from down the hall.

After a while, a doctor came in with another nurse behind him, this one had black hair and was wearing pink scrubs. This nurse carried a clipboard.

"Hello Timothy, how are you feeling?" He asked. I shrugged and winced. Just shrugging made my arms throb.

"I feel.." I felt like I might have fainted when I looked out the door when a gurney rolled by and saw a butterfly tattoo. .

My mom has a butterfly tattoo.

In THAT spot.

"MOM!" I shout, trying to pull myself out of bed. It was then when I realized that I had I.Vs in my arm. It was also when I realized that when you pull on an I.V that is basically just a needle in your arm, it hurts. A lot.

The doctor was barking orders and trying to hold me back while I tried to run to my mom. "No! M-Mom!!" I yelled. More doctors ran in to help calm me down.

"Tim! Tim! Calm down! If you get your heart rate up you may collapse!" I didn't pay attention. I never thought I'd say it... But I wanted my mommy.

"Mom!!" I yelped before a doctor placed a mask thing on my face and I started to see black spots.

"You don... Und.. Stand... Mah.. Momm.." I slurred my words and then everything went black.
