Ren watched calmly as the general sputtered and then quieted, considering. He finally nodded, if a bit grudgingly. 'We will give you everything you need," He sighed. "Name it and it will be provided."

Ren smiled in absolute glee. "Somebody here got a pen and paper?" A blue-suited intern standing behind one of the councilmen (Should he really use 'councilmen,' Ren thought? There are women, too.) nodded and pulled a pad out of his jacket, and stood, pen poised, expectantly looking at Ren.

Ren reeled off a lengthy list of weapons, explosives, and various other items of death and destruction, not stopping until he was satisfied. The young man continued scribbling for another minute, finishing up with Ren's requested objects, then looked up and nodded. He glanced at the general and said, "I can procure all the items here within an hour, sir. Some things will have to be obtained, and a few require custom work." His gaze flicked to Ren's sunglasses-covered eyes, and then down, to a point around his chin. "We will have everything for you by the end of the day," he murmured before turning on his heel and quickly exiting.

Ren smiled internally. The man couldn't look him in the eyes, even covered as they were. Ah well, they didn't call the eyes 'windows to the soul' for nothing. Both humans and Nephilim had fainted by looking into his mismatched peepers for too long. One half-demon had even been driven insane after staring when Ren didn't have his Ray-Bans on. Hell, he had killed by displaying images of his past in his eyes. His opponents had been so overwhelmed by the horrific memories that their minds had broken and their bodies shut down.

Ren returned to the present with a brief shake of his head. He stood and announced, "If that's all, I think I'll be leaving." The general blinked, as if surprised by the sudden change of subject. "Alexander has my card. Call me when everything's ready," Ren said, already disappearing into a whirling mass of shadows.
