Author's note:
So. I'm sort of back. I've been doing a lot of work in college, and to be honest I forgot about Wattpad and Ren for a WHILE. Updates may not be coming fast and furious, but I will try to get some going again.
Despite the massive size of his true form, Ren's movements were as quick as thought. Barely a few seconds after the change, the silver crescent blade whirled once, twice, thrice. The upyr, still stunned from his shift into Death, provided no challenge at all. They fell in bisected heaps, astonishment still on their faces as the bodies melted into wisps of shadowy nothingness.
A hooded, dark figure appeared a few feet away as Ren's body shrank back to its normal 6' 10" size. Ren plopped down, his back to a tree, and nodded a greeting as the hooded figure followed suit. "Figured I'd see you sooner," Ren said, crossing his legs and pillowing his hands behind his head.
Z shrugged, held his hands up in a 'whatcha gonna do' gesture. "I was busy. You know, escorting souls, sorting the annoying bastards, generally doing all that 'Angel of Death' crap. Do you have any idea how whiny and clingy some souls are? All 'where are you taking me, I need to know!' and 'no, please don't, I regret what I did.' It gets rough." Ren snorted. "I don't envy you the task, but I'm not here for idle chat. I figured you'd be called to a large amount of sudden death, and I was right. I need information."
Azazel shrugged. "You're a friend, but even as a buddy and one of the Four, you know I can't do that for free." Ren swore and shook his head. "Damn, everybody wants a favor. If I keep going like this, I'll be drowning in obligations. What do you need from me?"
Ren was quite literally rolling around on the ground laughing, and he didn't think he would be stopping for a while. "You need...me..to do...what?" he choked out, interrupted by gasps and very unmasculine giggles. "It's not that bad," snapped the hooded figure, crossing his arms over his chest. "Oh. Oh yes it is," chortled Ren. "Why, in the name of all that is both holy and unholy, would you want me doing that for you?"
Z clasped his hands behind his back and answered, "Because we want you to. That is all." Ren recovered himself and nodded. "Sure. I'll do that, when this is over." White teeth showed through the darkness of Azazel's hood and the Angel of Death held out his hand, and the two immortals shook on the deal.
