Charlotte lives in Brooklyn. She moved there because of her dad's promotion a couple years ago. Her aunt takes care of her there since her parents are always too busy for her, away on long business trips. However, her school remains in Parkchester, a small, friendly town filled with friends she's known for years. She passes one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in New York. She hates going home to no one and often feels lonely in her big estate, so she takes the long way home through a city filled with drugs, gangs, and violence. Her parents and aunt are not aware.
She enjoys driving through the ghettos in her cherry 2005 Chevy truck because it allows her an escape from the rush of Brooklyn and her usual luxurious life. Though she loves her aunt dearly, she cannot help but remain bitter about her parents.
