You chuckled and let out an enthusiastic 'oh yeah!' as you turned up the radio. One of your many favorite songs was playing, 'Long Train Running' by Doobie Brothers. You rolled down the windows of your black hummer as the music blasted from the speakers. Keeping your eyes on the road, you began to jam out. Tapping the steering wheel, singing, bobbing your head, you name it. When the song came to an end, you began to see the small town you were heading to come into view.

As you parked your car in front of a cheap motel, you pulled out your iPad and let out as sigh. You reread the article on the screen over and over again. You were dealing with some vamps, and from the looks of it, they didn't look too friendly. They probably knew you were here too, which wasn't that helpful. You could only hope they wouldn't find you for the night.

Hopping out of the car, you made your way to the back and opened the trunk. Pulling up on the fake floor, you were greeted by a stash of knives and machetes. You knew you would probably be okay, but better safe then sorry. Grabbing a machete, you slid it under your jacket, securing it in the built in loops. After feeling somewhat safe from both the vampires and the possible creep that could be inside, you entered the motel's main building.

As you pushed open the door, you were greeted by the scent of dust and...who knows what. All you knew is that it smelled horrible. You shrugged it off though. You get what you pay for, which is currently not a lot. As you reached the front desk, a large burly man entered. You leaned on the desk as he made his way behind it. You could practically feel the man undressing you with his eyes as you fought off the urge to puke. This is what happens when your a female, all alone, and hanging out in some of the worst places on earth.

"What do ya want?" The man said, looking you up and down. You shifted uncomfortably, feeling relief when the long blade in your jacket pressed against you.

"A room, please." You said, trying to be polite, despite the fact the man in front of you...did not have good intentions.

"What for?" The man asked, a smirk on his lips. You opened your lips to say something, but no words came out. You leaned back, trying to figure out what he meant.

"I-what?" You finally managed to say. The man chuckled darkly which made you walk back towards the exit. "Y'know what? I think I'll just find another place." You said, a nervous smile on your lips. Usually you would just slap, or kill, whatever was bothering you. But when you can't tell the difference between a creep and a creepy crawly...well...then there's a problem. You were not going to end up killing some random guy because you thought he was a vampire, but you also weren't sticking around to be used as dinner.

"Aww, where ya goin? The fun is just beginning to start!" The man exclaimed. You went to grab the door handle, only to find it wouldn't turn.

"Damn it." You whispered under your breath. The man laughed again, this time revealing a long row of sharp teeth. You quickly reached into your jacket and pulled out the machete. "I should have known." You grumbled. You lunged at the man, making it seem like you were going to take his feet out from underneath. By instinct he went to kick you in the face, only for you to move at last second. You kicked behind his knee, making him fall to his knees. As you raised the machete to finish the job, you heard hisses come from around the building.

"What do we have here?" A voice cooed in the darkness, obviously entertained by the sight before them. Looking around you were met by two bloodshot eyes. Your grip tightened on the neck of the vampire you were currently holding, as you raised your machete to keep away a few of the vampires that kept trying to get their hands on you.

"We can either do this the easy way, or the hard way. Either way someone's dying." You said through gritted teeth.

"Or we could just let you go unharmed...and you leave us alone." The vampire stated as he began to walk towards you. You raised an eyebrow as you held out the machete to his throat, making him back up.

"And why would you do that?" The vampire seemed taken back by the response.

"Why?!" He sneered. "Why?! I try to help an ignorant mortal like yourself who burst into our home, and you repay me by this?" He screeched. You chuckled.

"Well actually it was just a deal I didn't agree too." You remarked. Suddenly, it hit you. In your hands was their leader. "Ooh, I see how it is." You said while looking amused. "I have your little ring leader, don't I?" The vampires tensed, some of them showing their fangs, the others backing away.

"You think killing him is going the change anything-"

"Oh, I know it's going to change everything." You said. The leader in your arms struggled against your grip as you put the machete to his throat. "You trick children and kill them." You growled. "Your sick bastards." And with that, you stepped back and chopped the leaders head clean off. The vampire charged at you, causing you to put your machete up in defense. This resulting in you cutting into the vampires mouth. You let out a sound of disgust before you dodged his attack and threw the blade at the vampire. It caught in his shirt and pinned him against the wall, making him laugh.

"You missed." The vamp chuckled. You smiled.

"I never miss." The vampire attempted to get the machete out of the wall, only to find that it was wedged in too deep. You smiled sweetly as you turned on your heel and left the motel. You pulled out your lighter and put it to the wood of the old building. It was kind of ridiculous how these guys were in plain sight, yet no one figured out that they were the murderers. As the building caught light, you put the lighter back in your pocket and got in your car. As you started her up you sighed.

"I knew I should have slept in the hummer."
