Ugh, I realized just how much of supernatural I have forgotten because, I mean come on, this is a blast from the past but...oh well.
You yawned as you pulled into a small diner. You didn't sleep at all last night. Big whoop. It was actually kind of sad that you were tired. You've been known to go for weeks without sleep, and not one yawn would leave your lips. You began to think of when you were younger and...no. You can't think about them. Sighing, you entered the diner, a small smile working its way onto your face as the scent of delicious food reached your nostrils.
"Hey there Hun. Is it just you?" The waitress asked. You nodded as she led you to your seat. Pulling out the menu, your jaw nearly dropped at the amount of choices. After scanning the menu for what seemed like hours, you made up your mind on what you wanted. "Ready to order?" You nodded as you ordered waffles, eggs, and some bacon. 'So original you thought'.
Leaning back in the booth, you pulled out your phone, checking any messages you might have gotten, or any calls from your friends to help with a little 'problem'. To no surprise, there were no messages. Puffing out your cheeks, you sat up and put your phone away as your order came. The waitress dropped the plate at your table and gave you a smile.
"There ya go!" She said cheerily as she walked off to the other tables. Smiling, you picked up a fork and dug in. You groaned in delight as you chewed the food. They weren't called the best diner for nothing, that's for sure! Before you could blink you were finished. You payed the bill and gave thanks before you stood up and dusted yourself off. Grabbing your bag and phone, you headed out the door.
It was bright out and look like it would be quite warm. It was the opposite. It was freezing and your army green jean jacket was doing a terrible job at keeping you warm. It was windy as well, which went right through your thin band t-shirt. Unlocking your car, you opened the door and jumped in, enjoying the feeling of the leather pressing against you. You say in the car for a while wondering what to do. You couldn't find any cases, and honestly didn't know what to do with your free time. Maybe go to Bobby's? As you settled on heading over, your phone began to ring. There goes your weekend.
Picking up the phone, the caller I.D nearly made you drop the phone. Dean. Well, it didn't actually say Dean, it was more like a long chain of Emoji's that you typed in as a a teen because that was 'cooler' them typing someone's name in. That alone goes to show how long it's been since you talked. After staring at your phone with an expression that resembled a fish, you accepted the call and brought the phone to your ear.
"Hello?" You answered. Silence. "Ok, really?" Once again silence. "Okay did you butt dial me or something?" And with that, someone bursted off laughing on the other side, who you recognized as Sam. "Did you steal Dean's phone or something?"
"No." He said flatly.
"Mhmm."
"Okay, yes. Dean was being too chicken to call you."
"Sounds accurate."
"Well, actually, the reason I'm calling is for something kind of serious."
"Oh?" You said, the tone of the conversation getting darker.
"Dad...Er...John's missing and we kind of need help. We think we found a lead, and a case."
"So we want to go back to the old days? And I'd love to help, John was family to me too." You said.
"Great. We're heading to Jericho, California. I'll text you what motel were staying at."
"Coolio. Adios." You said as you hung up and put your phone back in your bag. You felt happy that you'd be able to see Sam and Dean again, but horrible that John was missing.
"Alright." You mumbled as the engine roared to life as you inserted the keys. "Off to California."
