Using imagery, describe something you did over break.
It's the first day of the new year and I've found myself back in my hometown with two of my closest friends. The weather is finally becoming more regular; there is a visible puff of air every time someone exhales. There is a discernible bite to the air, a stark contrast to the atypical temperatures of the previous months. With this new cold came a desire for something warm and homey, something comforting. Something like freshly baked homemade cookies. Just the thought of warm cookies made our mouths water but a problem arose; we had no means of obtaining these fresh, gooey chocolate chip cookies. With the sole intent of getting these warm cookies, we set out, determined, to the local supermarket, willing to bear the nipping cold for the bite size treasures known as chocolate chip cookies.
