Matt’s POV

Danni…

She hurriedly gets Chris’s arm away from her waist. I watch her run off of the dance floor and walk towards upstairs.

“I’ll go get her” Chris says angrily.

“No, no I’ll get her” I say still dazed.

“Matt, I don’t think that’s a good idea she’s pretty pissed off”

“I have to talk to her at some point, It’s my fault she’s pissed off in the first place”

I turn towards Sierra. She looks out of place. Like she doesn’t belong here. I don’t even know why I bought her here, I knew something like this would happen. I would get too caught up in her to even remember Danni. She was the one who I loved. Not Sierra, the kiss was a mistake.

“I’m just going to go…see you later Matt”

“Wait, I gotta take you home” I tell her.

“It’s fine…I’ll just call Austin and tell him to pick me up”

Of course she would call Austin. He’s her shining knight in armor. She hasn’t realized what he’s really like. Behind his charming, loveable character there is a monster. One that wants her dead. One that only wants what’s inside of her. I’m turning into that monster as well.

“Okay” is the only thing I manage to say.

I’m already racing upstairs before I can get her answer.

The whole upstairs is basically bedrooms and bathrooms. The perfect place for couples, or strangers for that matter.

I remember old parties here with Danielle. I remember being one of those couples.

“You know we shouldn’t be doing this in Chris’s house right?” Danni says as I close the door to one of the spare bedrooms.

“You know you want to though” I say grinning.

“Oh really now?” she says smirking.

Before I could say something else she wrapped her arms around my neck and her lips crushed against mine.

Then we were on the bed. And the rest is history.

As I open the door to the bedroom I expect her to yell at me like never before. She would probably hit me or punch me. At least something like that.

Instead I found something completely different.

As I walk through the door I can hear sobbing.

The second I see her I feel bad. Seeing tears running down her face. Seeing her weak. Then seeing the anger flash across her face.

“Danni-“

“Stop just stop okay” she yells. “Don’t bother giving me any explanation or reasons why you left me because I don’t need it”

“Let me explain-“

“There’s nothing to explain Matt!” she yells. “You left me for her, I get it. You know you were right…I should have gotten rid of this kid. I should have gotten an abortion. I should have known that you would leave me”

“Danni, I was wrong. I didn’t mean any of it. That girl means nothing to me. You have no idea how sorry I am. I never wanted to hurt you. I left so that I could protect you”

“What do you need to protect me from?”

“Myself Danni”

“No you don’t Matt. You never have before so you don’t now” She protests.
