A few weeks later

Things were getting...too convenient.  I found out that Austin was my new next door neighbour. Which I guess was normal in my town but the way he acted gave me my suspicions.

All these questions about my childhood. Why would it matter? He still wouldn't budge about his family and it scared me sometimes. Sometimes in English I would catch him staring at me from the corner of my eye.

I also started walking to school with Austin. When he wasn't asking questions he was actually a pretty amazing guy. He was able to make me laugh and it took a lot to make me smile let alone laugh.

We were walking to school together. I had my hoodie over my head so I didn't have to directly look at him.

"Sierra can I ask you something?" here come the questions.

"Another twenty questions I'm guessing?" I said looking down still walking.

I heard a small chuckle from him and couldn't help but smile.

"No nothing like that...I'm talking mystical creatures you know vampires, witches and werewolves" he sounded serious but I hadn't been asked this question since adolescence and vampires and werewolves somehow started to become sexy.

"Your reminding me of my twilight phase" I let out a nervous laugh.

"You liked twilight...oh wow" I could imagine the grin on his face.

"Hey the wolf was hot I have to admit" I said.

"Well I am definitely scarier than your sparkly vampires...and I mean that" he whispered and it sent shivers down my back as his arms wrapped around me. I smirked then pushed him off me.

"You always have to make things awkward don't you?" I laughed.

"Yep'

I kept on walking and he was right behind me.

"So you didn't exactly answer my question" he called out.

"Well fine...I guess they are real you never know...anyone could be one of those creatures of the night. If that's what their called" I told him.

"Guess your right" he agreed.

"Look we have...shit! Five minutes so you better run" I yelled behind me because I was already sprinting.

I felt wind across my face to see what it was. Somehow Austin managed to catch up to me.

"Get on" he was referring to his back.

"You're joking right" I wasn't actually sure if he was joking or not.

"Do you want to be late?"

"Fine..."

I jumped on top of his back and he started to walk like he wasn't even carrying me.

"How are you so strong?" I asked putting my head on his shoulder. I could smell his cologne from here and it was an amazing scent. I would have to ask him where he got it from.

"Well sweetheart it's called working out" the smirk that I saw everyday appeared on his face once again.

"Yeah but...not like this"

"Why don't I show you later" he said.

"Let me guess your screwing around with heaps of girls?' I let out a laugh.

"No..." I registered the pain on his face and instantly regretted what I said. I was about to apologize but he started to talk again. "I used to be like that Sierra not anymore though"
