Chapter 2

Charlie

As I walked in to the big house my ears started to hurt from the loud music I looked around for my newly founded friends. I could see Dylan with a girl at the top of the stairs.

"Hey!" I hear him call as I walk over with the brown haired girl staring at me. "Hi, how are you?" I ask looking around up the stairs. "I'm good but I would be even better with a drink." He says walking away from the girl after he winks at her.

As we walk into the kitchen he turns to look at me and says "Looking for fun tonight?" "Well I did meet this girl at school today her name is Alex and she's beautiful but I not looking to play her." "Wait what which Alex is this?" he asks "Oh, I didn't get her last name." I said as I feel a tap on my shoulder.

I turn to look down and find Alex staring at me "Hey!" She says looking at Dylan all confused. "Why are you talking to her? "Dylan asks with a face of someone who is not to be messed with. "This is Alex ..." I got cut off as Dylan takes me to the side away from Alex "Yeah I know this is Alex she is my sister!" he says lowering his voice. "Oh, I didn't know." I say lowering my voice too. "I know you didn't, but I'm telling you now don't mess with her!" said Dylan "I won't I promise." "I know I trust you, but I am warning you she has been broken before and I'm starting to see her happy don't mess that up." He says with a reassuring yet daring smile. "I won't." I say walking back to Alex.

"What was that all about?" Alex says leaning up against the wall with her arms crossed. "Nothing want to go somewhere better where we can talk?" I ask hoping her answer would be yes. She nods grabbing my hand and taking me outside.

"Where are you taking me?" I ask "To my car we can talk better there." She said.

Once we were in the car I broke the silence. "I didn't know you were Dylan's sister." "I didn't know that you were friends with my brother." She said turning to look at me with a smile on her face. "Yes well I'm new here I was glad to make new friends." I say "Well are you glad to meet me?" she said with a slightly worried face. "Yes, very glad to meet you." I say leaning closer to her. "Good because I'm very glad to meet you too." She says pressing her lips on mine as I cupped her face making the kiss deeper, she tangled her hands into my hair tugging lightly making me smirk slightly as she pulled away.

After talking for a bit she said "Want to go back into the party?" "If I say yes do I get another kiss." I smile when she nods. When we kiss again my thoughts about everything fade and for that moment I didn't care about anything but Alex.

When we enter the party again three people come over to us I guessed they were Alex's friends because I have never seen them before. "Hey, Alex where did you go?" The blonde girl said. "I have been with Charlie. Charlie meet Lucy, Abigail and Cameron, Lucy, Abigail and Cameron meet Charlie." Alex said.

"Hi, nice to meet you." I said greeting them with a smile "Hi, nice to meet you too." Cameron said "Hi" the two girls say one after each other. "Anyway can I talk to you please, its urgent." Lucy said as she gave Alex a worried look. "Yeah sure I will meet you guys in five in the kitchen." Alex said "Okay." Lucy said while her and Abigail walked away.

"Okay, before you go can I get your number?" I asked hoping she would say yes. "Yeah I was going to say the same thing." She said smiling.

Once we had swapped our numbers she whispered in my ear. "Now you have my number don't forget to call me." As she walked away to the kitchen to meet her friends I called her phone, she stopped in her tracks and answered.

"Hello?" she answered. I was surprised she even heard her phone ring because of the music being so loud. "Don't worry, I won't forget." I say. She turns around and smiles when she sees my smile as I hang up. "Okay." She mouths towards me giving me a wink and she turns back to go to her friends.

I then decided to go back home because to be honest I only went to the party to see Alex. On my drive back to my house all my brain kept doing was replaying the moment we kissed in my head, and her voice when she whispered in my ear.

Alex

I could see Lucy and her boyfriend holding hands, and Abigail drinking through a straw. "So what's up?" I asked I turning back to see Charlie walk out the door. "We realised that you haven't had a drink yet!" Abigail said handing me a red plastic cup. "What Charlie is gone because you want me to have a drink?" I said with a gutted face. "What he's gone, oh well we get you to ourselves and I'm sure you will be seeing him again. Now let's get our party on!" Lucy said knowing I told her not to say that.

We headed into the living room where the music got louder. Abigail walked off saying she was going to see someone, which left just me and Lucy going around the room talking to people that we knew.

Not going to lie it didn't take long, so we decided to go back to my house and Lucy was only getting drunker and harder to deal with. We tried looking for Abigail but we couldn't find her anywhere so we texted her that we were going.

When we got home my brothers car was on the drive and no surprise my parents car wasn't either. I love my parents but they are not around a lot which doesn't really bother me or my brother. My mum is always dragging my dad out shopping for either new furniture of clothes, and my dad takes my mum to car shows or fancy dinners.

We headed to the kitchen to get water to sober ourselves up, I really drunk because I was the one that was driving so I only had one drink.

"What was that?" Lucy said looking up at me. "What do you mean?" I ask confused. "Can you hear that?" she asks as I start to understand the situation. "OMFG!" I say in shock. "Dylan has company!" Lucy laughs.

"It's not funny who would it be?" I said "How would I know. I think they are in the living room, let's go see." She whispers slightly disgusted.

When me and Lucy looked around the door frame we saw my brother with his tongue down Abigail's throat.

"OMG!" I whisper as we walk back in the kitchen. "What should we do?" she asks "I have an idea come with me." I say pulling her quietly out the front door.

"Um what are you doing?" she says confused. "Just go with it." I say as I press the doorbell. Dylan then comes to the door. "Hey, how come you didn't use your key?" he said scratching the back of his head. "Forgot key." I state barging in the door.

"Hey, I lost you guys and I got your text so I came back with Dylan." Abigail comes in acting like nothing ever happened. "Ok" I said refusing to say what I truly thought. "Where's Cameron?" Abigail says changing the subject "He had to go home, and so do we come on let's go." Lucy said grabbing her sisters arm and waving at me. "See you tomorrow Alex." She said before walking out the door with her sister following behind her.

Dylan stared at the door for a while wondering what had just happened, then walked up the stairs completely ignoring me. I shortly followed as I sat on my bed about to turn on Netflix before I get a text from Charlie.
