Chapter six

Christian started to raise his sword to ward them off but before either could reach the other Rose stepped in between the two groups and yelled "Stop!" Christian started to lower his sword but when he realized that Ivan's guards were not stopping he stepped forward and put his hand around Roses waist and put her behind him. 

The king having also seen that the guards were not stopping positioned himself next to Christian and said in a loud commanding voice "when my daughter tells you to stop you stop!"

Three out of the five stopped though they looked like they didn't want to. When the other to continued to come the king sent out a blast of power that pushed the two over. "Arrest those two!"

Four of the kings guards grabbed the two. As They did one of the prisoners said, "He killed our Lord we have a right to arrest him and pass judgement on him"

"Ivan was about to kidnap my daughter that young boy might have very well saved her life!" The guard just sneered. "Take them away!" Only when the guards were taken out of the pub did the king turn towards Christian and Rose. He looked at Christian as he said "I don't know all that just happened but I do know you just saved my daughters life and for that i thank you." The king then looked over to Ivan's body then looked back at Christian. "But you did that though killing a Lord of my kingdom and I have to put you under arrest for now until it's proven without a doubt that you killed him to save my daughters life."

"Father what-"

Before Rose could finish Christian touched her shoulder and said to the king, "I'll go without a fight as long as you promise to take care of my mother."

The king nodded his head, "I was already planning on doing just that don't worry your mother is in good hands with Maddock" he then signaled to have one of his guards take Christian away. 

"Don't worry daughter everything will be fine now let's go check on the woman so that we can go home."

Rose took a deep breath and nodded her head. 

When they started walking over Lucian got up from where he was kneeling next to Maddock and went to Rose, "Are you alright?"

"Yes I'm fine." The king decided to leave the two alone and went to talk to Maddock before he took his leave. "And how are you doing with all of this."

"When everything got so foggy and i couldn't find you I was so scared. Then it disappeared and I saw his nasty hands all over you then the next second you were fine and Ivan was on the floor bleeding with Christian standing over him holding a sword then as if nothing happened Maddocks calling me to help him with Alexandria."

Rose laid he hand on his shoulders, "It's okay I'm okay, Christian saved me."

"How?"

"I don't know." But Lucian could tell she was lying and he knew it was pointless to ask her right then with everyone around. 

"You'll tell me later right?"

Rose nodded then looked over to Alexandria "how is she?"

Lucian looked towards Alexandria as well. After a moment he said, "the damage is not too severe but the trauma induced labor. For right now we are trying to stabilize her so that she can be transported."

"Will both of them survive?"

"The labor will be a tough one.... but unless she has a turn for the worse she and the baby should both survive."
