Niall wiped the thin layer of sweat off his forehead as he finished sweeping the floors of the somewhat, elegant restaraunt he worked in. It was his turn to clean the floors that night while his co-workers prepared for closing. The clock hit 9, and Niall put away the broom in the kitchen closet, and changed out of his uniform. Tugging off his black apron and name tag, he pulled on his regular clothes, grabbed his green backpack, and waved off Ed and Josh.

"See ya tomorrow, lads," he said as he exited out of the restaraunt. He unlocked his bike from the stand, the breeze licking softly at his hands. It was the middle of October, not too cold, but a bit chilly. He pulled his light jacket closer to him as the gusts of wind blew. Hopping onto the bike, he took off, pedalling his way home.

Riding his bike into the night was probably one of the many favourite things Niall loves most in life. At night, the usual cars and trucks are silenced and reduced, it's quiet, peaceful and Niall is one with the darkness and stars above.

Niall moved into London a couple years ago from Mullingar, Ireland, hoping to begin a new chapter in life since the last few chapters weren't that great. From the beginning, he grew up with loving parents, and an amazing brother, Greg. Greg was Niall's superhero, when Niall was upset, he knew he could count on him to lift him back up on his feet. When Niall was 13, he knew he was gay. He was attracted to boys, not girls. The kids at his school were somewhat supportive, a couple of students took it quite harshly, but got over it. When he came out to his family, (he had written them a note, placed it under the Christmas tree, and planned for them to know on Christmas day) they were overjoyed and told the boy that they would support and love him no matter what. Niall was truly blessed to have such an incredible family by his side.

When he was 17, it was the point where it was all going to come crashing down. He had a crush on a boy named Justin, and when Justin confessed his love for the Irish boy one day, he was so happy, he nearly cried. The two became boyfriends soon, and it was honestly relationship goals for any couple. His parents were very supportive of the couple and Maura was a tad bit emotional, knowing that their son was finally growing up. Niall knew he loved Justin, and he knew Justin loved him too.

Oh how he was so wrong.

On the fifth month anniversary of their relationship, Justin began to change. He started smoking, and hanging out with some friends that were in a gang. Niall was worried, but Justin soon became reckless and troublesome. Some days, when Justin's parents were on a business trip, he would invite Niall to stay over for the night. Instead of cuddling, watching movies, and going out on dates like how they used to, Justin would get a text from his gang friends, and would ditch Niall. Niall stayed at Justin's alone, and would wait for his boyfriend to come back home, because he loved him. Besides, that's what boyfriends do right?

On those days, Justin would come home at 2 am, piss off his ass, drunk. Niall didn't know what to do on these days, part of him was scared, yet his love for Justin kept him grounded, as he stayed by his side all the time, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of his boyfriend. It was honestly one of the worst mistakes Niall had made his life, and he wishes he could go back in time to change it. It was that one night, when Justin had come home high off whatever he had consumed earlier, and had slapped the boy for not cooking him a meal. Niall didn't expect it at all, and cried himself to sleep that night, knowing that he was at fault, and it was probably a one time thing. Everytime, when Justin left, Niall would prepare a delicious dinner for him, yet, things got worse. Punches, slaps, insults and spitting was all Niall knew back then. He was getting abused by his boyfriend, but he knew that he loved him still. The boy would apologize sincerely after, and he promised that he loved him. Being the fool Niall was, he accepted, and continued to stay by his side. After countless apologies, the abuse still didn't stop, in fact, it got even worse.
