It was around three AM when Haden was woken by a text from Sean. Although his phone was on vibrate, the boy still woke up; he was a light sleeper. His hand shot out from the blankets and fumbled for the phone on his mahogany nightstand. Once he grasped the familiar object, he pulled it under the covers where he winced at the harsh light when he opened the messages.

[MSG:] sos
[MSG:] meaning i need ur help in the shed

The Shed was Sean's little studio, something he actually built himself in the backyard of the large house his family owns. In it was many blank canvases and painted ones, even paintings that Sean deemed as failures had its own spot in the Shed.

Usually, no one enters his secret heaven unless it was a project he completed that he wanted to show off or something broke down. After all, the Shed was home made. It wasn't always the most reliable, sturdy one.

Haden typed a reply that he'd be there soon and dressed as quickly as he could. He always had a slight fear for Sean's shed; what if he took too long and the shed actually collapsed? Managing to pull something on that was decent, he jogged out of his house and into the street where Sean lived a few blocks away.

On the way there, he sent a message to Nate about the little problem with Sean. McDonalds seemed the best way to meet. Once Haden hopped past the fence that hid the backyard from the front, he saw Sean hurrying to keep the far corner of the Shed up.

Quickly, he ran over with his own hammer nearby and the extra wood. Until the Shed was no longer wobbly, Haden made sure the building was actually sturdy enough without the four hands holding it up.

"Good teamwork," Sean commented as he tossed the hammer aside with the one Haden placed down. "Mind if I jog with you and Nate this morning?"

Haden nodded. "Sure, dude. Get dressed out of those sweats and put on some running gear."

Teamwork was something the entire group had. No matter how little the problem was or how big, they all knew that everyone had their backs.

Nate and the two cousins were caught again and Haden couldn't help but notice how those three were always out now, vandalizing whatever they could. The rest of the group let out exasperated sighs but followed Haden out of the apartment and ran to the corner where the three boys were running from the cops.

"Separate!" Nate commanded once he saw the four arrive. It was the same plan they used each time cops were on their tail. There were usually four or even five cops at the moment whenever they were being chased but they had seven, younger and fit boys running. No one got caught at the end of the chase.

Teamwork always saved their asses.
