As me a my mom walk to the barn on my stone path I realize that I also have to clean the water buckets today because it's been a couple days.
As my mom is scrubbing the white doors I go and give George his sweet grain. "George stop kicking the door your gonna hurt yourself even more then you already are!"
I give George the feed and then I sweep. As I sweep I see a tiny field mouse run by. I jumped backwards hard. It's scared me so much I made George jump a little to.
Once George finished his grain I lead him out into the biggest pasture I have with wooden fences and a rusty metal gate. When I take off Georges halter he flees jumping in the air and he adds a spin to all the fun. As I walk away I turn around to see George rolling and getting his new blanket all dirty...sigh.
Once I finally fished the water buckets I go and clean George's stall. As I am cleaning my mom finishes the doors and comes and helps me finish his stall, "wow it's chilly out side" mom said. "I know, let me go empty the wheel barrow because it's getting full."
Well I finish emptying out the horse poop and bad shaves and hay I turn to look at George and he's eating grass. But in the far distance I see a chestnut? What? There's no wild horses in Kentucky? The horse was shivering and raggedy also very thin, like a stick almost.
I rush to my mom to tell her I will be right back and that I saw a horse. As a run out side to look were the horse went, I see he was gone. But I still ran after the horse.
As I follow the horses foot prints in the snow I can tell when I looked at the horse that it was only 15.4 hands or less. The horse prints lead me into the thick deep woods. I was nervous to enter the woods because I knew it was filled with animals you don't want to come across with. As i got deeper in the woods the more nervous I get the more cold I get.
An hour or so goes by in the woods and I lost the horse prints and I am lost myself. It's getting dark and the critters and birds are going to sleep and the night critters are becoming active. I start to hear nothin for a while but then out of no were I hear a loud neigh. The horse. I can tell its far away because it echoed and it was soft. I run towards were I heard the neigh come from but it's getting dark almost black. I decided to camp out because there's no way I am giving up on the horse.
