The distance from Royal Rumble wasn't far. Jon was stressed out about having two matches. The tag team match and Royal Rumble. Joe was a bit shaken up but didn't let it effect him. Colby just shrugged it off since he already had experience with two matches. April was just a bystander of everything happening. Watching as Jon constantly paced back and forth, trying to figure out how to pull this off. Joe just stress working out. Lastly, Colby constantly giving them advice and them not listening to him at all.

Aj usually just sat in their locker room and tried her best to calm Joe and Jon. Usually talking with Colby and teasing Jon about how his dimples make his bad boy look seem like an adorable baby. Jon muttering profanities every time she did.

"Are you guys ready for the segment tonight?" Aj asked helping Jon tape up his hands.

"Y-Yeah we are," Jon lied.

"Stop stressing yourself out man. After our match against Kevin, Dolph, and Randy there's Aj's match, then another match for the Divas Title. We have time to rest," Colby stated. "I've had two matches one night absolutely no break in between. If I did it I know you guys can do it."

Jon nodded his head in response not believing anything that Colby said. Colby looked at Aj for support and she sighed in response.

"Look Jon, Colby is right. You have two matches to rest to and your number is 17. Even if you don't win the Rumble you still have us and the Intercontinental Championship. Your importance in WWE won't die down,  the fans still love you," Aj spoke.

"Yeah and the fans loved Randy and his importance in WWE died down," Jon snorted.

"Well at least he was the one the won the WWE Title and World Heavyweight Championship when his stable broke up," Aj muttered to herself.

Jon snapped his head towards her. "What did you say Aj?" Jon walked towards her.

"I said that at least he was the one who won the WWE Title and World Heavyweight Championship when his stable broke up," Aj started to raise her voice at him.

"Why are you defending Randy huh? Are you secretly in love with him? Because if you are I don't wanna spend time on this relationship we have if it's gonna fail like your marriage with Phil!" Jon yelled. Colby put his hand on Jon's shoulder. Jon shook it off staring at Aj for her response.

"At least it more of a success than you trying to one, trying to beat The Best In The World, Cm Punk, and two, trying to beat Colby for the championship," Aj remarked.

"Hey guys it's time for your segment. Calm down and go to the Gorilla," Colby said.

Jon and Aj left the room not saying a single word to each other. As they waited for the segment before theirs to end. Dolph and Kevin came by because somehow they got involved. 

"Hey Aj," Randy greeted her as he cam by.

"Hey Randy," Aj waved.

"So I was right?" Jon said.

"No you weren't okay? I'm sorry I can be friends with people I'm feuding with on screen," Aj rolled her eyes. Jon snorted at her answer. "I'm not in love with Randy! God!" Everyone turned their attention to Aj and Jon.

Randy felt a small pain as he heard the words escape her lips. "How do I know you're not lying to me?" Jon asked. 

Aj crashed her lips onto Jon's. Randy trying as hard as he can not to break them apart. Jon let his hands roam Aj's body. (yes i know this is cheesy. dont judge me) 

"That's how," Aj answered as she pulled away.

Joe began clapping and pretending to wipe a fake tear from his eye. "How sweet. You guys survived your first fight."

Everyone stopped paying attention and left the scene. Dean's music played as they went out. Roman and Dean taking strides to the ring as Aj skipped beside them to keep up. Lately they've been just cutting promos having a few matches. The same old same old. Giving teases on who their mystery partner would be. The first clue was doing the video thing like they used to do when they were in the Shield. Aj distracting the referee during Roman and Dean's matches helping them secure a win. 

They all had somehow convinced Stephanie to let them have a week off by filming backstage segments. So after this last one promo Joe,Jon, and Aj had a week off.

"Wrestlemania is when we need to tell him," Randy held April's hand in his rubbing circles with his thumb.

"Why? I thought we agreed on Royal Rumble?" April asked.

"Once I win that Rumble I'll be headlining Wrestlemania against Roman. Right before Wrestlemania you'll tell him over dinner and he'll need his best friend to help him. Roman would be so caught up on helping him get past this he'll forget about training. We'll reveal it was me you were with the whole time the next day on RAW," Randy explained to her. She nodded in response.

Aj and Randy tried to be together whenever they could. Saraya and Celeste are being suspicious towards her but, Aj wasn't worried.  Aj was becoming more remorseful on what she was doing to Jon. She had grown close to Joe, Colby, and Jon. Once April tells Jon everything she knows she's going to lose them along with Jon. Randy wrapped one of his arms around April's small waist, pulling her closer. 

April rested her head on his chest inhaling his scent. They just laid there letting comforting silence fill the room. Her eyes fluttering shut, soon enough soft snores escaped her lips. Randy was falling hard for her. His greatest fear was her falling for Jon. This was all for a championship in the beginning, the relationship was too make sure she wouldn't back down. Now all he wants is her, but, what he feared is that soon enough all she's going to want is Jon. He held her tighter just thinking about this thought. 

Randy wanted to slam his head through a brick wall for extending the date. He knew what he felt towards her. But those 3 words could ruin this. Randy intertwined their fingers together, giving her hand a tight squeeze before drifting off to sleep.
