I wondered through the hallway towards the lobby. I could not seem to wipe the smile off of my face. I could not get the picture of him this rather fine morning out of my head.
His bouncy, silky curls, wild and untamed, a mess apon his head. His green eyes dark and tired looking, his dried lips pulled into a smile that made my heart race far to fast for my liking. For some strange reason this man had the ability to make me rather comfortably excited. I do not find that strange at all.
I shook my head, walking to the sliding doors, to walk to Starbucks down the street. It seems Liam really wasted his time driving into the centre of town just to get, a rather horrid tasting drink. That reminds me actually I must call him. He could be worried. He normally stops round my place.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket as I walked through the first sliding door, the blast of warm air hitting me straight in the face, ruffling my feathery hair. My smile only grew, as I stepped out into the blinding sun. It was a once in a life time, to get such a hot day. It was something one should cherish, as it does not come round often.
I squinted my eyes, looking at the screen of my phone, sitting in my palm, the heat of the suns magnificent rays heating my skin at a maddening pace. I slowly typed in my password, in which I should in fact change. It is far to simple, even someone with low intelligence could figure it out. I sighed heavily, tapping on my phone book, seeing the last out going calls I had of course made, but one number did not register in my phone or my mind for that matter.
Furrowing my eyebrows, my thumb hovered over the Unknown number. It was a rather strange thing to see when you never really do see it. I have no Unknown numbers in my phone. I do not like not knowing who phones me or sends a text message to me. It is slightly unnerving, you know not exactly knowing who is on the other phone. I swallowed hard, quickly moving to Liam's name, tapping it softly.
I held the phone to my ear hoping he would not be working today. Since he has been gone I never know what days he works, seeing as he does not slam the front door, successfully waking me up every morning apart from Mondays and Fridays. But alas his working days could have changed since then.
"Lou? Where were you? Why were you not answering your phone yesterday?" He rushed out, panic evident in his voice. I could almost see the look he pulls when he gets worried.
His big bright chocolate brown eyes grow wider, his lips pursed to stop his bottom lip from trembling. He always pulls his eyebrows together. I have a feeling every time I see said face, that he thinks he looks more angry, where as in my mind he just looks like puppy who is not very happy with his owners choice in pouched puppy food.
"I am fine Liam. Do not have a heart attack on the other end of the phone." I said lightly, chuckling when I heard his sigh of relief. It is strange how he still cares enough about me, to check up on me like he does. But of course sometimes, I do not need him following me like a lost puppy. Oh goodness... I should stop comparing my beat friend to that of a magnificent four legged creature!
