Maddie POV
Me and Gino were backstage waiting for our names to be called. I kept playing with my hands nervously. I looked over at where Gino, and I was about to walk up to him, when I heard, "INTRODUCING GINO AND MADDIE DANCING TO SHUT UP AND KISS ME." I sighed, "here goes nothing" I said to myself.
Gino went on first. After a Minute, I jumped on stage and ran to Gino and he picked me up in the air, he gently put me down. we did a few spins and the rest of the routine, and then it was time for the big finale. Gino put his arms around me, spun me around dipped me, I shot my head up, and then, we kissed, for the third time. because we first kissed for the first rehearsal, then the second rehearsal, and then we kissed right now. He let go after a second and when he did he still stayed in character. As for me I broke out of character, from shock of the kiss. I looked at the crowd with a blushing and surprised face While holding my hand to my chest. I skipped away happily from what just happened, waving to the crowd in the process. As soon as I went back stage. Chloe started teasing me.
"Your love is so cute" she said coming up to me smiling. "What--ew I don't like him like that." I said breathless, walking away from Chloe. I was walking to my dressing room when I heard Gino and his friend talking, about ME. I quickly hid behind a curtain so they wouldn't see me, and listened to their conversation. "So how was it kissing the famous Maddie zigler?" I heard his friend ask him. "Wrost experience of my life. man it was soo discussing." He responded to him. "Man she's ugly, I don't know what guys see in her." My heart felt like it wasn't beating when I heard him say that. I ripped the curtain away from me and stood behind him. "So me kissing you was the worst experience of your life huh?" I said, my voice creaking. Gino quickly turns around, and his eyes widen when he sees me. "Maddie-I didn't mean-" "save it. You know what I'm actually glad you said that, because I actually started to like you, but I don't wanna waste it on someone who doesn't like me back!" I screamed at him and ran away, I went in my dressing room and slammed the door behind me. I looked myself in my Mirror, "everything he said was true." I whispered to myself, while slightly crying.
