The God Hades Daughter

Chapter 1

I stood on the side walk out side my mothers Oklahoma city apartment building for what felt like years, contemplating on whether or not to go up. Shes been asking me for months to come meet her fiance but so far I never worked up the courage to come visit. In sixteen years, my mother has never introduced me to any man, much less the man shes planning to marry in a little less than two weeks.

Don't get me wrong I am happy for my mom, I'm thrilled shes moving on from my father, but I have a huge list of screw ups from my visits with her. trashed apartments, wrecked cars, apartment fires and many other things taints my past like a dark cloud. I kept my eyes trained on the building with laser focus, I knew I was attracting odd glances, I hadn't moved in a while and with a sword on my side, a bag arrows and bow on my back and dagger on my thigh, there was no telling what the morals saw. I was just about to pluck up the courage to hit the buzzer but Before I could even take a step forward to the apartment, a very familiar face shimmered to life in front of me.

"Bee! Are you still at your mom's?"

I stared at my best friend Clare who had suddenly appeared in front of me, well half of her was, she was Iris messaging me and she didn't look happy. I was about to voice my totally confusion at her knowing where I was, because I hadn't talked to her in weeks but I was cut off by screams and a huge explosion behind her, I felt the earth beneath my feet tremble and she was knocked off her feet by it.

"Clare where the Hades are you?!"She grimaced as she dragged her self off the ground and screamed for her twin sister Macy to move.

"About a mile away! we need help! I'll explain later but were under attack!" suddenly another explosion shook the ground and Clare rolled out of the way as fire cut through out message effectively ending the call. The ground beneath my feet shifted and I almost fell, I quickly made up my mind, I took one last look at my mothers building and then took off to find my friends.

Clare was more than a mile away, but I couldn't blame her because it looked like the fight had moved from a near by super market to the park we were now at. I stopped a good distance away to watch in horror as my friends fought with a huge hydra. Macy was limping and Clare had a huge gash across her face, suddenly from the back of the monster I heard a shout and it kicked me into action, it was Mike my only other close friend, I didn't know why the three of them where here but I had to help them.

Clare and Macy are twin daughters of Athena, and Mike is the son of Ares, it took us a while to all get along, but now we are the best of friends and when we all work together we can be beat. My friends were scattered and trying their hardest to fend off the hydra from two small boys behind a Satyr who was trying his hardest to help with his nature magic.

I quickly sprung into action and ran to my friends defense screaming for them to fall to the right away from the boys. I pulled my collapsible shield out of my pocket and began to pound my sword onto it hoping to draw it's attention to me.Clare charged forward trying to dart around it's massive body to reach me but it swung it's head, hitting her and flinging her across the park.

"CLARE!" screamed Macy as she surged forward desperate to get to her sister.

"Macy! no! stay! we have to keep it away from her!" I screamed, Mike grabbed a hold of Macy and made his way towards me.She struggled for a second then snapped out of it as the hydra opened one of it's huge mouths and blew a huge stream of fire my way.

I rolled to side and raised my shield in defense quickly retreating to the other side of the hydra away fro my friends before screaming.

"Macy! how did Hercules defeat this thing?" I was met with the sound of a sword striking scales with a huge war cry.
