My heartbeat quickens as I approach my crush, who is my best friend. I punch in my locker code, open it, and turn to talk to them, but someone decided to butt-in before I could even speak up.
"Hey, do you wanna be my girlfriend?" A friend of mine and my crush asks.
My crush just shrugs their shoulders
And says "Sure." With a blank face.
