Faeryl lifted her head from the pillow. She looked around the room and saw Elre still asleep on the floor. Her brows furrowed and she looked down at him from the bed.

"Elre, why are you on the floor and why am i on the bed?" She spoke to him as if he was awake.

"I thought the bed would be more comfortable for you." Elre's eyes opened and looked up at Faeryl.

"Was it so i would sleep better and not be grouchy? Are you afraid of me Elre?" Faeryl teased the elf.

"Why do you tease me, drow?" Elre's voice was crackly from being asleep.

"Because its fun, and i feel like i can trust you." Faeryl smiled and patted the spot on the bed next to her.

"Why are you patting the bed? I am not a dog." Elre sat up and looked at Faeryl. He hadn't payed much attention to how she looked the day before. He took in every detail of her face. Her thin white eyebrows, her pure pink eyes without pupils, her sharp nose and her dark lips.

"Why are you staring, elf?" Faeryl got defensive when she noticed him examining her features.

Elre didn't say anything, but he stood up from the ground and sat down on the bed next to the drow.

Faeryl smiled at him, the tooth in front of her canine on the left side stuck out just enough to catch her lip when she started closing her mouth.

Elre cleared his throut and rubbed his face with his hands. Faeryl raised her eyebrows and watched him.

He lifted his head and looked her in the eye, "now you're the one staring."

"Ah, sorry Elre. You just looked so.. " Faeryl stopped talking and let her words fade out, she didn't want to continue.

"So, what Faeryl?" He asked her.

"Ah, nothing. I don't know what i was even going to say." She smiled and looked over at the window and covered her eyes. It was light out now, the others would be awake. She grabbed her hood and walked out of the room, Elre right behind her.

They went to the tables in the tavern and waited for Ebbrek and Lucia to arrive. It didn't take long before the whole group was together.

Elre walked up to the man standing at the counter of the tavern. "Has anyone offered any work?"

"Depends on what kind of work you're looking for, Elf." The man grumbled.

"What work do you think my friends and i do?" Elre growled, his eyes piercing the man.

"Ah, i see." The man stammered and paused. He looked around as if making sure no one would overhear. "Well, someone needed someone to get somethin' back for 'em." The man whispered.

"Who and what from where?" Elre's voice was calm and unwavered.

"A man that goes by the name Rehm. You can find him at a small home at the edge of town. He doesn't leave much. Speak with him for more information."

"Thank you." Elre nodded his head and walked to the table.

He explained to the group what they would be doing and where they were headed. It wasn't too far to the edge of town. Once the arrived, it was sunset and the lighting wad dim. Faeryl kept her hood up however, just in case.

Ebbrek knocked on the door of the small house, and after a few minutes, a slender man walked out to welcome his guests.

"You must be here for the work. I see you all have weapons." Rehm was old, his voice was creaky, like an old witch.

"Yes, we hear that you need something retrieved." Faeryl stepped sideways, into the shadow of the wall.

"Yes, it is a very precious stone. It was stolen by orcs. I was walking back to town a few days ago, and was ambushed. I was lucky to have escaped with my life."

"Where can we these orcs?" Lucia spoke up, looking directly at Rehm.

"Just west of here. About a two nights walk." Rehm replied, glancing at Faeryl.

"I can see you look at me, why?" Faeryl spoke defensively, staring down the old man.

"You are not the first drow i've seen." Rehm smiled slightly at the pink eyed drow.

"He has been here?" Faeryl asked, her voice slightly shaky.

"If you mean Drizzt, yes. I have met him." The man leaned against the wall with most of his weight.

"Where is he?" She spoke hastily.

"Long gone from here, my apologies for not knowing more."

Faeryl nodded and started walking off in the direction that they needed to be, tapping on Elre's shoulder as she passed him, signaling for him to follow.

"Lets go now," Elre commanded Lucia and Ebbrek.

The two followed him silently. The group walked towards the west while it was dark, and only because Elre did not wish for any extra trouble, the would camp at night to make surethat no one would know about a drow being present in their party.

It didn't take them long to complete their easy task of retrieval, and it also didn't take long to bring it back and get their rewards.

After getting paid, the headed off to the next town. It was sunset, so they could travel for a while before the sun would make its way back again and chase them into hiding.

The next town was around a 13 nights travel. It would have been shorter if Elre wasn't so concerned with conflicts. They where all battle ready at any point, a little racist brat wouldn't stop them, or even really hinder them at all.

"You know, Elre has never been one to be concerned over causing a fight." Ebbrek spoke to Faeryl before the entered the gates of the town.

"Well he is now i guess." Faeryl smiled, glad she had an excuse to avoid the light of day.

"I don't think thats our issue," Ebbrek bellowed deep in his throat, louder than he anticipated it would seem. He shook his head and widened his eyes, letting out a much softer "Whoops."

"Then what is?" Faeyrl raised an arched eyebrow at the stocky dwarf, and he smirked behind his beard and walked into town.
