Teasing the leader

"its late, what are you doing?" he stares at me with an irritated yet curious look

"I'm not an idiot i know its late, i couldn't sleep" i reply, clearly irritated that i will be sleep deprived for my first proper day. "don't get sassy with me, you're the initiate, you do what i say" he says standing a little taller, obviously threatened by my wit, what can i say it comes naturally "so if you told me to jump of the chasm you think id do that? ha i don't think so" "you are pulling on a really fine thread, you know that spencer" he spits out my name as if it was poison, clearly I'm pushing his buttons, at least he will know my name "its spence, Erica" i reply, mocking his name "more like smartass" he mumbles to himself and i giggle a bit. He pushes me into a wall his body pressed close to mine "if you wanted to make out with me you could have just asked" i say with a smirk, he just looks at me and i hear footsteps... shit. "this is out of bounds area for you, if you get caught ill be the one in trouble so just shut up will you" he whispers harshly in my ear, his breath tickling my neck, it makes me shiver, he... moans? "i heard that" i whisper quite amused, he looks away embarrassed "don't grind on me, initiate" he says, trying to make it my fault "you breathed on my neck! it tickled" i whisper shout before i know it my lips are connected to his. there was a spark, adrenaline running through my veins, his lips felt so soft, he knew what he was doing. he pushes in closer to me as i hear the footsteps walk past... i realise what he is doing now, one of the people, the women says "get a room!" and the other, male says "yes Eric, get it on" clearly he was one of his friends. Eric's lips part from mine his forehead against mine. me mumbles a 'fuck' and lets out a sigh. when we can no longer hear the footsteps he pulls away and looks at me "thanks, now jake wont stop bothering me till he finds out who you are" "why did you kiss me?" "oh God, if they found out" "why did you kiss me?" "you know everyone will laugh at me, how desperate, Eric? ha" okay i get that i am an initiate but that was not fair. what, he has to be desperate to like me? i just look him in the eye, its silent i think he realised what he said "it would be humiliating for me to" i say and turn around, starting to walk off. before i turn the corner he yells out "i only kissed you to hide who you were from them, its bad enough they know i was with someone but you? that would be worse" "go jump of the chasm" i reply giving him the rude finger. no doubt about it, Eric is the biggest dick known to human kind... but man he knows how to kiss, shit.

i still cant sleep, i am angry because Eric thinks he is better than everyone else and I'm insulted that it would be oh so humiliating to be with me, I'm not that ugly am i? I'm at the chasm sitting on the edge staring down at the endless movement of water, its so calming. i let out a sigh, people walking past me to their rooms, i cant wait to have my own. someone is staring at me from a distance "don't jump" they say "I'm sitting, jumping would be kind of hard, dumbass" i reply then turn around, its Four. "oh sorry, i didn't realise it was you" i say turning back around as he walks over to me and sits next to me. "what are you thinking about" he is the first person who looks like they are willing to give a shit "having to fight tomorrow,I'm so used to doing nothing in that situation, what if i cant fight back?" i look up at him and his frowning "my father was abusive" i clarify myself "if it makes you feel any better, so was mine, but thats in the past now just think about it as you are fighting for your life, you fail and you're out" he says "so don't fail" i say finishing what he was saying "exactly" he gives me a smile "you're a lot nicer than Eric, he is just a dick" i say scrunching up my nose, Four laughs "i know, now get to bed kiddo, you'll need the sleep, trust me" he stands up and holds out his hand to help me up, i take it and before we go separate ways i look at him and say "thank you, Four" and i give him a hug, my arms wrap around his neck and he squeezes me tight, it feels nice "the pleasure is all mine"

the walk back to my room was long, or maybe i just got lost all the halls look the same anyway, as soon as i get to my bed i am hit by a rush of tiredness.

'BEEP BEEP BEEP'

what the heck? what is that, are we under attack??? oh god hide under the blanket, wait no, I'm dauntless get up, fight! yeah!

"WAKE UP INITIATES"

oh never mind its just jerk face Eric, maybe i could fight him.

everyone starts to shower and get dressed before we go get breakfast, then the day really starts. i hop in the shower for only a minute because 1. its cold and 2. i don't need to wash my hair yet, i walk out in a sports bra and my black lace underwear. i see Eric still standing at the door watching us frantically get ready he finds it amusing, i am calm, i don't see why i need to rush we weren't told to. Eric spots me and looks me up and down shaking his head smiling and i think he isn't saying 'damn i could tap that' more like 'ew i kissed that' i start to feel self-conscious and put my clothes on quickly and exit the room "spencer" he says with a smirk as i pass the door "Erica" i reply with a mirrored smirk, his disappears and becomes a glare. "Hey Spence! wait up!" i turn around to see Ollie, his dirty blonde hair wet, sticking to his face. "hey!" i say as he puts his arm around my shoulder. we walk to the cafeteria together. he said he could hardly sleep last night he was so excited yet nervous for today... load of crap if you ask me i saw him snoring all night. i told him about what happened with Eric, i know I've only known Ollie for a day but he feels like the brother i never had, "no way! you got with our instructor???"

No. i did not, he forced me.

"it wasn't like that" i said trying to explain myself but before i could Eric was on his way to sit at my table. fuck. why? to torture me? i think he has done enough. "hi Oliver!" Eric says with a dick wad smile "oh, its ah oll-" "Hey Erica, can i help you with something? why are you here?" i say trying not to let him win "its Eric but i think you already know that initiate, I'm just trying to get to know you initiates better" he says innocently, well as innocent as Eric could possibly get. "doesn't look like your doing a good job here, feel free to go bother someone else" i say, Eric knows I'm teasing him, its what we do "you" he says pointing at me with a smirk "i don't like you" he says taking a mouthful of his apple "thats not the vibe i was getting last night" i said with a wink, Eric AND Ollie both choke on what they were eating, i just grab my mandarin and leave to go to the training room we will be in today.

i have a bad feeling of what Eric is going to do to me now.
