I lightly opened my eyes and looked around. There was no light coming from the windows, so I'm guessing that it was still night.
I raised up,feeling the breeze of my ceiling fan in my hair. I reached over and grabbed my phone off the charger, checking the time. 1:32 I groaned as I rolled out of bed and walked downstairs.
The kitchen light was on and my mother was sitting at the bar reading a book. "Couldn't sleep?" She asked taking a sip of her drink, of what I'm guessing is coffee.
I nodded while grabbing a coke a walking back to my room. I shut my door and plugged in my neon light above my bed so it lit my room up purple.I laid in bed and turned on tv. As I flipped through the channels I found The Simpsons so I decided to watch that. After about about an hour of watching TV i felt my eyes getting heavy and soon they closed and I drifted to sleep.
When I woke up again, this time the bright sun rays were shining through my windows. I got up and grabbed my coke from a couple of hours ago.
I walked downstairs and just as I thought my mom was already gone. She always leaves as soon as it hits daylight. But I mean who really gives a fuck?*knock knock* the door sounded. Who is at my door at 8 in the morning?
I opened the door and it revealed Nate, which now that I think about it isnt weird for him."What do you want?" I said as I turned around and walked back to the kitchen.
I heard the door slam shut and his feet following me. "Goodmorning to you to. But anyways what's today's plans?"I shrugged my shoulders,"I'm thinking just a lazy day you kno?" I said as I poured cereal into my bowl of milk.
He nodded, "I'm down." We walked outside and sat in the rocking chairs. The birds chirped in a tree nearby and cars passed by heading to work, and kids caught the school bus."Gimme a bite" Nate said while opening his mouth and leaning towards me.
Me and Nate have been best friends ever since fifth grade. We are pretty much the same, I never knew my dad just like he never knew his mom. We have always been there for each other and I don't think anything could ever change that."Aye johnson! You gonna help out or nah?" I heard a deep voice yell across the street, then a tall, muscular guy with dark brown hair came from behind a moving van while a blonde ran out the house to grab boxes.
"They must be the new neighbors." Nate said while eating the rest of my cereal. I nodded while not taking my eyes off of the tall one. He laughed at me which knocked me out of my gaze.
"C'mon let's go introduce ourselves." Nate said standing up and setting the cereal bowl down then grabbing my hand. We walked across the street and soon reached there house. Nate knocked on the door and we waited..
"Yea?" The blonde said in a kind of rude way as he saw us. Okay, not a good first impression.I looked down and noticed I was still in my pajamas. "Jack." The tall one said to me as he stuck his hand out for me to shake. "Miranda" i smiled. When did he get here? Oh god, I wasn't even listening,I don't know the other boys name..
I know he noticed my clothes, I mean who wouldnt? There short shorts that probably show my ass in the back and a mini mouse shirt I got from Disney world two years ago. God this is soo embarrassing! And I was talking about not a good first impression...
I stood there looking behind the two boys,as they talked to Nate, into their house. Which was really nice. They didn't have anything quite set up yet but they were getting there."Alright see ya" Nate said knocking me out of my daydreaming. I followed Nate back to my house, and when we got inside the first thing I asked him was the other boys name. "Jack but every one calls him jj" he said while jumping over the couch and landing perfectly on it. So their both named jack? Creepy..
