I can't stand the huge separation between us. I Googled it, and apparently there are a full three states between us. Why couldn't you have gone closer to Colorado? Colorado State is so lonely without you. But hey, just three more days until I see you again, right?
Blade sounds... interesting. Is there no way for you to change roommates??? KIDDING! Mostly. Anyway, maybe you should take him to some of your classes. He might enjoy some of them. But some of the goth kids here are studying film? He could try that. But there is no way we could ever hook up Blade and Beverly. Though they do sound cute together, right? But Beverly goes for more of the hunky player types. Definitely not someone like Blade. But if you want we could schedule a blind date sometime soon.
We have a communal kitchen, unfortunately. Our dorm is really, really small, so I guess it's understandable. It makes me want to join one of those cheesy sororities just so I can have a bathroom that I don't share with fifty other people. Woah, wait, did I just say I wanted to join a sorority? Wow. I have most definitely not been getting enough sleep lately. Beverly has been yapping on the phone with her ex-boyfriend all night for a few days now, and I"m going to go insane! I did finally decide on a color for my side of the room, though. I chose lavender and light blue. I'm emailing you some picture right now, it looks so good!
Don't you just love how we both want to have careers with animals? Maybe if we're lucky, we could work together someday! Have a few kids, buy a house with a backyard and get a dog! Like, a Lab or something.
But first we have to finish college. Today I had my very first college class. It was amazing! It was really just a lecture, but I still loved it. I made a lot of new friends and met some cool people. This one girl, what's her name? Oh yeah, Marigold. Weird name, but she's adorable! She has bright red hair and she's kind of short, but she's always smiling. I don't know how she gets her teeth so blindingly white, but she makes me want to floss more.
Oh my gosh! I didn't even tell you the biggest news yet. So, my cousin drove down the car for me a few days ago, and guess what. I love it! It's a blue convertable, and it's just so perfect for me! I don't know what I'll do when it snows, but who cares. Until then, I can just enjoy the wind blowing through my hair, right? I didn't get the job I interviewed for yesterday, but there is one that I think I might get. It's at a pet store that's pretty close to the dorm and has flexible hours. They seemed to like that I'm becoming a wildlife biologist. So, fingers crossed!
Tell me about your classes, Adrian. Are they fun? Have you made any friends yet? Found a job? I want to know everything! I can't wait to see you. Please write back soon! I miss you!!
