You and Joe had been best friends your whole lives, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that you two went from bestfriends, to boyfriend and girlfriend. You'd had a crush on Joe for a while, however you never ever dreamed that he'd like you back, so when joe asked you out, it came as a pleasant surprise. Tonight, you and joe we're going on a cinema date, to watch the hunger games. You'd been on a few other dates with him before, to the park, out to eat, but this was new.
It was 5:30 pm, and you and joe had agreed to meet at 6:15, so you began getting ready. "Ughh what to wearr." You muttered to yourself as you looked at your wardrobe. You didn't want to look to casual but at the same time also not to dressy. In the end you settled with a black skater skirt and stripy long sleeved top which you tucked in. You threw on a denim jacket, and your Adidas superstars, curled your hair, applied one last coat of lipstick and then heard a knock on your door. It was joe. You had butterflies in your stomach, even though you knew there was nothing to be scared about. You ran downstairs and opened the door.
"Hey y/n, you look beautiful."
"Hiya Joe, well aren't you a charmer." You giggled
"Well what can I say." He replied with a grin "are you ready to go?" You grabbed your bag and took joes hand as you begun the short walk to the cinema.
You and joe got a huge bucket of popcorn to share, and the whole way through the film were trying to throw it up and catch it in your mouths, annoying everyone around you. Joe sat with his arm around you, and you loved it.
After the film ended, the pair of you went to grab something to eat, but before you could enter the restaurant joe takes your hand and looks at you.
"You know y/n I've had a great time tonight." He smiled
"Aw joe, so have I." You replied. Without even acknowledging, your hands were on joes back, and his were rested on your hips. You both leaned in, and your lips connected in a sweet kiss. Joes lips were amazingly soft, and tasted perfect and minty. The kiss ended and you both pulled away, smiling at eachother
"Well y/n, I have to say your a great kisser."
"Well thankyou, your not to shabby yourself you know." You grinned
"Screw the resteraunt, do you wanna come back to my apartment and watch netfilx or something?" Joe asked
"Sure, as long as there is no chill included with that netfilx watching." You giggled
"Oooh no there's extra chill involved." He winked
"I'm up for it anyway."
"Let's go then." He said, taking your hand
It was safe to say that that was the best date you'd been on.
