Chapter 2- I Just Dont Understand

KARLYS POV:

I quickly woke up to the scream of my mom. I heard running and moaning. I look to my left at my alarm clock 6:57... I knew something wasn't right. I knew I had to lock my door. My heart beat hard and fast as I slide out of my bed my legs trembling. I quickly walked over to my door and locked it then slide my big shoe box in front of it. I panicked. I grabbed my phone and opened my window. I then climbed out onto a little ledge in front of my window and closed it behind me.

Its obvious. I'm all alone now. My parents are gone. I looked at the world around me. Dead. Dead people walking and moaning. Blood. So much. Tears rolled down my cheek as I lightly sobbed. Its all over. How did this happen this fast.

I picked up my phone and called Carl. He answered.

"Carl i'm scared. They took my parents. Im on the ledge in front of my window. What do I do. I am going to die. Its all over." I say my voice shaking as I talk.

"Karly its ok. Me, my mom , and dad are coming to save you. Just don't hang up. We are in the back of your house. We are coming through the bushes. My dad is coming in." Carl said trying to calm me down.

"Ok I see you. Be careful." I said. I got no reply.

I saw Rick quietly come into my house. Then not long after I head 4 separate gun shots.

Alright.....

Now all of them are gone. I looked down at Carl as he ran back to his house and gave me a thumbs up.

I opened the window behind me and slid back into my room. I removed my desk from blocking the door.

Rick knocked on my door to notify me that its safe and he is here.

Real quick I grabbed my book bag and put some stuff I would need in it.

A couple of waters, some food, some hair stuff, and more.

Me and Rick walked out of the house 5 walkers were standing in the road.

SSSSSMMMMASH!

Lori drove them over with their car. Carl was in the back seat.

"Go get in" Rick demanded me.

I hoped into the back next to Carl.

We started to drive.

I was confused.

Tears rolled down my cheek and Carl hugged me.

"Its ok." He whispered.

" No its not. My family is gone. Everything is over. We live in a world of human eating things! " i whisper yell.

Nobody replyed.

The rest of the car ride was silent. I looked out the window at the new gloomy world.

The puffy clouds filled the sky as once again it started to rain.

I just do not understand. It just does not make sense. How could all this happen this fast.

I want my life back. I want my parents back. All I have now is Carl and his parents.

I turned to Carl. His eyes were closed and he looked like he was sleeping.

On the road ahead of us layed a bunch of dead walkers.

Then I saw a bunch of things moving on the road. Cars? People?

THERES MORE PEOPLE YAY!

The people were all limping though. There was more then 300 limping people.

I shook Carl.

"Carl." I whisper. He wakes up and I point to the "people"........
