The next day, I finally woke up around noon to the sound of Cesar barking loudly at a stray cat outside in the garden. The sun's bright rays seeped through the blinds causing me to squirm as I sat up on the bed. Dylan curled up beside me in the doona, still sleeping like a baby. He looked so adorable and I was jealous that he was still fast asleep after our exhausting night. I gave my fiancé a kiss on the cheek and crept out of bed trying not to wake him up. His favourite t-shirt was lying on the couch in the corner of his room so I slipped it on not wanting to spend another day in a tight black dress. It may have been his favourite t-shirt but it was also mine too, partially because it was covered in his scent. The navy blue t-shirt was a snug fit on him but on me it was quite baggy and ended just under my hips. I tippy-toed my way out of his room and downstairs to the kitchen to make us a cup of coffee each. My head was feeling a bit heavy and I was feeling slightly nauseous probably due to the amount of alcohol I had last night. I let loose and had just a bit too much to drink when I was clubbing with the kids and it felt really good to have some down time without cameras being waved in my face. I don't exactly remember what happened last night, everything after the golden globes after party was all a blur; shots at the bar, dancing with Zoe, truth or dare with Ansel and Miles and some really really good sex. Flummaging through the kitchen, I found the coffee beans and chucked it into the machine and waited for my hot coffee to be made. Being half asleep, the sudden loud burrrr of the coffee machine frightened the hell out of me. Jolting backwards I thought that I was going to fall flat onto the cold hard kitchen floor but instead warm comfy arms swooped me up just as I was about to fall.
"Hey babe! How was your sleep?" I asked Dylan as I jumped out of his arms.

"Good...until I freaked when I woke up to an empty bed."

"Nawwww, that's so cute! I didn't want to wake you up so I came down here to make some coffee. Speaking of, here you go!"

"Mhmm thanks Mags, it's so delicious. So, as I promised, today will be special. Just you and me!"

"I like the sound of that"

"Well of course what's left of today seeing that it's already noon"

"That's ok, but no matter what we do, I need to go back to my place to grab some clothes"

"Nah, keep the t-shirt on, it looks adorable!"

"Dylan! I can't walk around in public half naked with no pants on"

"Hmmm, you seem pretty covered"

"Maybe covered for you, but for everyone else....don't think so!"

"Awww, but I like you with nothing on!"

"Dylan, I need clothes."

"You have clothes!"

"Undergarments don't count! And there's no way in hell I'm putting that dress back on."

"Ok, whatever. Well I have reservations for two at a 5-star vegetarian bistro @ 8:00 tonight so prepare a magnificent outfit!"

"Babe you're proving my point! Let's go around to my place, get a few things and then we can go out for brunch."

"Good idea... and we need to feed Cesar."

"Good point! Where is my boy? Cesar??? Cesar??"

"I think he might be in the garden! Shall we check?"

"Lead the way honey."

Dylan grabbed my hand as we strolled out to the garden. Sure enough Cesar was lying on the lawn with a very odd looking deformed bird.

"Cesar really?" asked Dylan as he walked towards the dog rubbing his head.

"I must say, not a pleasant sight for a vegan. That poor thing!"
