Nalu & Gruvia - She's The One

It's been a year since that fateful day. Every time Natsu thinks about it, the only explanation of their encounter was simply true fate. She, a runaway, searching for the guild of her dreams. He, a fire mage, searching for his lost father. She somehow managed to get caught up in some fakers charm magic. Called himself Salamander. Natsu grins. I showed him.

Lucy Heartfilia was freed from that evil man's hold on her the moment Natsu burst in. Realize how no one else was affected by his sudden appearance. Natsu was too naive back then to realize it, but recently he's been enlightened that only a soul mate can break that spell.

Now, Natsu can't get over the girl of his dreams. He awaits her arrival now, sitting patiently in the guild hall. She doesn't know yet. He realized his feelings for her when some pretty terrible stuff went down on their last mission. It wasn't one on the request board. They went to war with yet another Dark Guild. Lucy was hurt pretty bad. Ended up being unconscious for a few weeks. Natsu, going on a rampage once watching Lucy fall, won the battle and raced across the room to kneel beside his teammate and hold her. For the first time, he realized how her scent intrigued him. Anger and grief burned through his chest as the guild rushed home. Wendy tried to cure her, but nothing seemed to work. She went on crying about it, and Natsu told her it wasn't her fault, though it barely slowed the innocent child's tears.

Normally, Natsu would meet Lucy at her apartment, but after three weeks of refusing to leave her side, she finally woke up and went home. Some of the girls are with her right now, making sure she doesn't pass out or anything. Lucy then walks into the guild followed by Wendy, Erza, and Carla. Happy instantly glides over, face-planting into her chest, crying. Natsu, being his childish self, jumps out of his seat and can't get across the guild fast enough to attack Lucy with a hug, crying out, "LUCE!"

Lucy, having uncovered her feelings for him when she awoke to find he's stayed beside her for three weeks, smiles warmly.

Happy is quick to realize this, "They like each other." He sniggers. Erza crosses her arms and nods approvingly. Wendy just chuckles. Carla, however, rolls her eyes at Happy, "Stop being so childish, tomcat."

Happy, overcome with his undying love for the beautiful Exceed, drifts towards her with his arms out, "Oh, Carla, anything you say." She holds out a paw to keep him from getting any closer to her, but Wendy can see the ever so slight blush that tints her cheeks as she turns her head away from her fellow Exceed.

Faster than lightning, Natsu grabs Lucy's wrist and dashes outside. He stops momentarily at the sight of Gray entering the guild, "Put some clothes on, perv!" Natsu snaps. Gray, angered, growls, "What'd you say, flame brains?"

Juvia then seemingly shows up out of nowhere, "Gray-sama!" She throws her arms around his arm and he scoffs, turning away. Lucy covers a malicious smile with the hand Natsu doesn't claim, "When's the wedding?" She asks, imitating the commonly annoying blue cat. Gray glares at her, but Natsu quickly steps between the two, staring daggers at Gray. Lucy, awkwardly standing there, clears her throat. Natsu, remembering his plan, jumps up, "I'm busy right now, see ya, stripper!" Natsu dashes off with Lucy's hand still in his.

"What's up?" Lucy asks as they finally come to a halt by the edge of the forest. Natsu's face becomes deadly serious and Lucy is both nervous and anxious to hear what he has to say.

"Lucy, I like you." Natsu says to her. Lucy's half disappointed in Natsu's completely uncreative way of announcing something as important as this, but she brushes it off. She's too in love with him for him being there for her for the past three weeks. He had no reason to worry so much, but he did. Lucy doesn't know if she'd even be able to bear it if she and Natsu had switched places.
