Audition Day

Oh my gosh, it's already been a week? I didn't feel ready for this at all. Maybe if I were my favorite sparkly shirt I'd feel better.

Thinking about the audition is so nerve wrecking. As we got closer and closer to the auditioning time, I was closer and closer to just running away.

The bell rang and all my classes were done, my stomach was turning with nervousness, I should just leave before Demi finds me, she'd understand I chickened out.

Yup, I'm just going to walk out that door.

"Where are ya going, Missy?" Demi screamed.

Dammit, I was so close! "I just needed air." I joked. "Cool sunglasses, it matches with your outfit." I said.

"I like your shirt too, even if we don't make it, at least we'll be two hot losers." Demi laughing while saying that, but I wasn't. I was to nervous. "Hey Nick!" she called behind me.

I turned around. Nick was smiling "See ya guys later." He said.

"You toooo." Demi and I both said. "GINX." we both said again. "KNOCK ON WOOD." we looked around for wood and looked back at each other and started to laugh.

Demi was finishing up her pizza and I was drinking my coke while we were sitting on the gym bleachers. I think Demi was nervous as I was. Nick finally came in with some other members of his dance team. Everyone in the gym looked up in their sweats or shorts, which made Demi and I feel like we were outcasts.

"We're so going to stand out, which is a good thing." Demi said reading my mind.

Of course Nick noticed us out of everyone else, and smiled. "You guys want to go first?"  he asked.

No, I thought. "Yes!" Demi said trying to sound like she was so ready. I gave her an are you serious look.

We both didn't know how it was going to work, we thought they would just give us moves to follow but unfortunately not.

"What's your routine?" Nick asked. I looked at Demi. We did not have any routine! I didn't even know we need one. "Shit. You're lucky I won't be able to kill you, cause I think we're going to die from embarrassment after this. " I whispered so only she could hear me.

"Just go with the flow, Selena, we got this! Just follow me. Plus they noticed us before any other group, it's like you can small the envy of all the other groups." She said.

"Nah all I smell is my sweat and I can already hear the laughter after we're done." I said.

So we turned on some One Direction song. I started snapping my fingers and started wiggling like a worm.  Demi started clapping and posing. I heard some laughter in the back, and I just wanted to stop, I couldn't even look at the judges, but I did anyway. They looked like they were trying not to laugh.

"Remember that dance we had to do in the 3rd grade for that talent show?" Demi asked while were still dancing.

"Let's do it!" I screamed. We stopped and started shuffling and doing all the moves. I can't believe we still both remembered. I remember practicing so much that it's burned into my head. This dance can really go with any song. When the song stopped so did we. Everyone seemed shocked. It didn't seem like they were happy either, but then one person started to clap followed by many others. "I told you it's the envy." Demi whispered.

Someone still kept clapping and whistling and I turned to see it was Justin. Oh my gosh, he saw me dancing like a maniac.

The dance crew huddled and started to whisper.

"That was a shocking twist." one of the crew members said with a straight face. That's when I knew we didn't make it. "I liked it." She smiled, throwing me off. "WE MADE IT??" Demi shrieked with shock.

"Well, we only have 3 spots open, and there's like 15 people here, soo.." the girl said.

"Good enough, I can't believe we actually have a chance." I said.

"You guys were great." Nick said obviously trying to flirt with Demi. "I think Demi was great too, but I think she's even better with you." I winked. Demi turned red a tomato but I kept looking at Nick's reaction. "Thanks I guess.." He said trying to hide the fact he was interested in her, or maybe he actually wasn't interested. I couldn't tell. He started to smile when he saw Demi and she laughed, and all of sudden I felt like the 3rd wheeler not understanding what was going on. They were totally dating behind my back or going to soon enough. I started to leave, and they both looked at me giving me the expression to not leave them alone or it may get awkward fast, but then someone interrupted me.

You as the reader should already know who came up to me to make fun of me.

"You know you guys kind of dance like 3rd graders, but you're lucky Nick has bad taste." I shoved Justin aside. "Goodbye to you and your negativity." I said jokingly and left.
