The New Girl

       Hey guys, if you are actually taking the time to read this frist chapter i just wanted to say thank you so much! Don't go too hard on me, it is my first attempt at a wattpad story, but do leave comments and give me feedback. Even if it is negative comments, let me know what i should do differently. "Hollanddddddd!" My older brother, Logan, sang as he entered my doorway. "Get up! It's the first day! Go get ready, you look like a mess!' he informed me shaking me awake. "Wow thanks, real confidence booster!" I replied sarcastically. 

I pealed open my eyes, slowly exposing them to the harsh morning sun that entered my room through the window. Glancing over at my alarm clock, I read 6:03am. "Okay, I'm up, I'm up" I wined to logan as he began to shake my bed once again. "Don't make me get the water bucket..." he smirked slyly.  I quickly sat up, "You wouldn't!" He rushed out yelling back behind him, "You know I would!" I jumped out of bed and slammed my door shut, locking it with a "click".

I began to dig through my unpacked boxes searching for an outfit. It was mid november and my family and I had just moved into a new house right outside the heart of L.A in a small suburb because my dad had decided to open his own privately ownned plastic sugerons' office. Unlike the weather back in Colorado, it was 90 degrees of blisterng heat outside. 

I dug through one of the boxes and found a pair of half bleached, high waisted denim shorts with a few complimentary silver studs and a cream colored crop top. I put on the outfit and looked in the mirror approvingly. High waisted shorts were probably my favorite piece of clothing at the moment because of how they clung tightly to me showing off my small waist and exposed my long tanned legs. 

I checked the clock again. It read 6:20am, so I had about a half an hour to do my hair and makeup. I loosely curled my chocolate colored hair with a 2 inch barrell and let it fall voluminously behind my shoulders. Next I lightly lined my light brown, honey colored eyes with eyeliner and extended it out into a wing by each eye. I gentely applied a coat of black mascara to my already lengthy eyelashes and finished off my makeup with a slighly tinted pink lipgloss.

I rushed down the immense staircase and hurried into the kitchen hoping I still had time to eat breakfast. "Why are you in such a hurry Holl? you still have 10 minutes." my younger brother Taylor said with a chuckle. "um well i thought it was later.." i replied distractly as I scanned the fridge looking for food. 

I prepared a bowl of cereal and sat next to my two brothers up at the bar. "I see you fixed that mess of hair you had this morning.." Logan teased as he inspected my freshly curled locks. "I guess I did." I replied not really paying him any attention. 

My brothers were both dressed nicely in different colored polos, logan in a light blue that brought out his shockingly blue eyes and Taylor in orange complementing his olive skin tone. Both of them paired their polos with crisp pairs of newly ironed khakis that my mom had bought them so they would make a nice first impression. But they didnt need nice close to be noticed. Both of my brothers always attracted crowds of girls in any room they walked into. They had the charm and the smiles that would make any girl fall for them instantly, but they both sort of milked the fact that they got all the girls.

"Dude, Taylor, California chicks are hot!" Logan yelled back to Taylor as he washed out his used plate in the sink. "Right? Man, I can't wait to see all the babes!" Taylor smirked over at Logan as they exchanged looks of excitement. 

"Guys, we should probably go!" i piped in seeing that it was 7:00am. "Alright everyone in the car!" Logan instructed heading for the door. I grabbed a pair of my new Jeffery Cambell Litas (they are a cream maybe tan-ish color) and ran out the door.We all piled into Logan's car and began driving to our new school, Oceanview High.

The next chapter should get more interesting as Holland North arrives at OceanView High and begins to recieve more attention than she expected! (It's a little cliche, but that's what wattpad is all about, right? ;)
