What is Love?

~Chapter Fourteen~

~Wedding!~

So last night Cody and I talked it over we are having out wedding right now! He just finished his show, I am getting ready, and Cody is coming to get ready.

Our wedding is at the our favorite beach, all of our memories are here so why not make another?

I am wearing an off the shoulders, mermaid tail dress, with lace quarter sleeves, and a lace back with buttons down the the back.

For my hair, half of it is up, and all of it is curled. Cody gave me this little tiara to wear, since he always calls me princess.

My makeup is light. Just eyeliner, mascara, a little blush, shimmer powder, and pink lip gloss.

"Flats or heels?" Alli asked.

"Flats. How would I wear heels on the beach?" I asked.

She shrugged "It could work!"

We laughed and she handed me white flats. I slipped them on, and looked into the mirror.

This is it, I'm 21 and getting married to my best friend... I have a beautiful daughter, and the most amazing family.

As I walked down the isle, Cody smiles wider. When I finally reach him, I hand my flowers to Alli, and Cody takes both of my hands.

We finally get to the I do's part. 

"WAIT!!" I hear a familiar males voice call.

Everyone looks to where the voice came from- My father...

My eyes widen, and I feel tears coming to my eyes. I blink a lot forcing the tears to go away.

"I cannot let this happen!" He says walking towards us.

"What?" I said in shock.

"I cannot let this happen, without introducing myself, to this young gentleman who is taking the hand of my beautiful daughter." My father smiles. Says the man who didn't even tell me about his own new wife... 

"Mark.." My mum trails off, giving him a sympathetic look.

"No- I haven't been there for my baby, I need to be here now." He says.

He stops when he is close enough to me. I smell alcohol... Fuck my life!

"You're drunk. Go home." I said turning to him.

"Aubrey. I'm your father, I should be here at your- at your wedding." He said stepping closer.

"Mark, go home." I said sternly.

"You haven't talked to me in years! How do you expect me to go home? My step son's girlfriend, made my wife commit suicide, my step son, ran away with his crazy ass girlfriend, you and your mother left me, so what do I do? I go to the bar drink out my feelings, then do stupid things. It all goes back to the beginning, when you and your mother left me." He slurred.

"SECURITY!" I shout.

My father grabs my arm roughly, and pulls me to him.

"You do NOT call security on your father!" He says through gritted teeth.

"AUBREY!" I hear someone yell.

I'm snapped out of my daydream, and standing in front of everyone, Cody, the preacher... Right... The wedding... The I Do's... I looked around, and don't see my father... GOOD!

"I'm sorry.. What.." I whisper.

Cody chuckles.

"Do you take Cody Robert Simpson, to be your husband?" The preacher asked... again...

"I do!" I smiled.

"Then Cody, you may kiss your bride." The preacher smiles.

Cody lets out a chuckle then kisses me.

~Few years later~

I walked back into Cody and I's bedroom.

"Well... It's positive!" I smile, looking at the pregnancy test.

"That's amazing!!" Cody says picking me up and spinning me in a circle.

"No it's not!!! I don't want to share you guys!!" I hear Tessa pout.

Cody and I laugh, and he sets me down. I throw the test in the garbage, and quickly wash my hands.

 I go back into the bedroom, and pick up Tessa.

"Sweetie. We will still love you just as much!" I smile and kiss her cheek.

"What if it's a boy! Daddy will love him more than me!!" She whined.

"You will always be my little princess! No one will change that!" Cody said wrapping an arm around my waist, and kissing Tessa's forehead.

"What about mommy?" She asked.

"She is my other princess." He smiles and kisses my cheek.

"What if it's a girl?" Tessa asked crossing her arms.

"Then I will have three gorgeous princesses." Cody smiled.

Tessa giggled, and kissed Cody on the cheek.

I love my family. My beautiful daughter, my handsome husband/best friend, and this soon to come beautiful child. I don't think life could get any better!♥ You always hear people ask "What is love?" but once you find it, you will know exactly what it is. It's being able to feel happy all the time with this person, the joy of having the other persons presence, and when they are gone, you can't help but think about them 24/7. One day I hope Tessa finds the love of her life, with someone who makes her as happy as Cody makes me.
