What the hell? I stand there with my back hugging the wall for a few seconds before I finally muster the courage to decide to walk over to the pod again. I walk over slowly due to fear and amazement of this strange object that I had stumbled upon. The green lights give the cave an eerie feeling that doesn't really help me in this situation. I stop just a few feet away from the pod and try to survey it. A part of the pod seems to be stuck within the rock of the wall it's laid by. As I hop onto the pod, the pod starts to make a noise that sounds like the inside of it is losing pressure. I stand atop the pod for a few seconds to wait for some unknown reaction from the pod.
What the hell am I doing? Just open the damn thing and look for something to get out of here! I shake off my fears and scan the pod to see if there is anything to open it. I then notice that their is a handle located near the middle of the pod. I crawl my way over to it and try pulling it but to no success. I try to pull the handle with all my strength again but fail again. I sit down and try to figure out a way to force open the pod. Well I'm not strong enough to rip it open by force. Then what the hell did that button do? Maybe it's like car keys. Maybe I just turned off the "alarm" for this thing. I look over at the handle and study it more for a bit.
"Maybe the handle turns and then I have to pull it." I say before I quickly clamber myself over to the handle and firmly grasp it and turn it. The handle turns along with my hand and then I pull it which surpisingly doesn't take too much effort. Another sound is heard before the handle on the pod suddenly disappears within the pod. Awwwww come on! The pod then makes another noise, but this time the middle of the pod splits into two pieces that pull apart slowly. I wait until the pod finally finishes the process before looking into it.
I creep over to the opening that the pod has now created. Nothing in this world could prepare me for what I was about to find. Inside the pod was a suit of golden armor that looked like nothing I had ever seen before. The suit's main pieces of gold armor were split in between in certain spots such as the knees and elbows. The helmet had a visor that covered the front most part of the face and was a very light brownish hue. In between the spots of armor was some type of fiber like material that looked very similar to human muscle. "Woooahhhhhhhh" I say like a child who just got an amazing present for Christmas. What the hell is this and how did it get here?
I look around the armor to try and see if there is anything else in the pod to help me get out of this cave. Every time I try to look around, my gaze just falls back to the golden armor just sitting there. Damn. There isn't anything in this pod besides that suit. I sit and look at the armor feeling compelled to reach out and feel it. Maybe this thing can get me out of here? I reach my hand out to touch the armor but then stop myself and pull back due to fear of not knowing what may happen. "Come on Alexandrus. There's no way out of this cave. This is probably my best chance of getting out of here." I babble to myself as I finally muster the courage to touch the armor. As my fingers make contact with the armor, I brace myself for anything. Nothing happens for the next few seconds and I breath a sigh of relief.
I look over to the suit's hands and notice the suit make a fist. Crap. I try to jump off the pod but a sudden gust of air behind me launches me forward as I land face first into the ground. I cry out in pain as I try to rise to my feet. I barely get to my knees before the suit lands right in front of me. Well this was a bad idea in so many ways. I study the suit as my gaze slowly raises up to the suit's helmet. The suit and I stare at each other for a few seconds before it moves its hand towards me. I kneel over and close my eyes bracing for the end. See ya soon Dad. Seconds pass by as nothing happens to me. I open my eyes and look up again to notice that the suit is holding its hand out to me. I observe the hand with curiosity before taking it.
