New School, New Me

Elsa got home after a long day in school and proceeded to take out her laptop. She typed in the password to her google drive, and began to write on a new document.

3rd September

Dear Diary,

Today was an amazing day! I just moved to a  new school! People  actually liked me. I was popular.  See, in my old school I was just another invisible kid. But for some reason I stand out in this school. In a school full of beauty queens and stylists, I just wear casual stuff. Don't get me wrong, my  tee shirt was $300. But I don't like fancy Clothes. 

So Today morning when Anna came down for breakfast in a floral pink  dress and pink suede  wedges, I was a bit worried as I was wearing a crop  top and shorts.  Nonetheless, I liked my outfit.

Once we reached school, we went to the office and got our school schedules, lockers and handbook.  Soon after, I was talking to Anna about meeting her for lunch, when I spotted my cousin Razzie. Anna and I ran over and hugged her. She greeted us and introduced her friend, Aurora. Aurora was super pretty. She was very fancily dressed however with a fur jacket and skirt and stuff. However she was cute but really shy. She walked off in the middle of the conversation saying that she had to use the bathroom. 

However, she and I bonded in home ec where neither of us were good at anything. She told me about how she had pricked herself in freshman year and was still afraid of sewing. I told her that I was not very girly, and liked sports and parties over home ec, I mean who wouldn't?

In my homeroom, I met the rest of the girls in my cousin, Razie's clique. There was Razie of course, Aurora, Belle and Brooke, the twins, Jasmine and Cinderella. They were aparently the 'It girls of the school. 

Belle was super pretty, the Student Body President and, a total snob. She was super competitive and intimidating. On the other hand, Brooke was super sweet and bubbly, the captain of the cheerleading team and the homecoming queen. However, even though Brooke was more likeable, since she was younger, Belle was the crown queen, which she was ironic as Belle wasn't the slightest bit interested in being Queen. Brooke instantly came over when I entered history first period and gave me a welcome hamper filled with makeup and cupcakes and giftcards to stores. Brooke was dating the football quarterback Adam, who was nicknamed "The Beast". Brooke was the most popular girl in school.

Her best friend, Cinderella was really pretty but not the smartest. She was tall and blonde, and curvy, but she managed to pull it off. She was apparently the gossip queen of the school, and was dating "Prince Charming" who's real name was Charles and he had a lot of family money, and would take Cinderella on vacations all the time. Jasmine, was probably the most notorious girl in school, with the title of the resident party animal. She was Brooke's biggest rival in terms of popularity. However, while Brooke was known for being perfect and a sweetheart, Jasmine was known to be wild and daring, throwing wild parties when her father was out of town on business and passing out every night.

Rapunzel, or Razie of course, was the edgy girl, and the most chilled out of them all. She listened to loud rock music, and was high 90 percent of the time. However, she was also the most genuine drama free girl in the group. The last one, and my favourite, was Aurora. She was beautiful. She was the fashionista of the group, and the best dressed in the yearbook ever year. She was dating Phillip, who's dad was a billionaire, and Phillip would always get Aurora the most lavish gifts. For her 17th birthday, he got her a $450,000 car.

My girlfriend Meghan back home, was the most perfect girl ever. She had beautiful black curly hair, and bronze skin with the most amazing mocha coloured eyes. We used to be madly in love. However, she would always get angry at me and was insecure that I would find someone else.

There was a knock on her door, and Anna walked in. Elsa quickly shut her laptop and turned around to face Anna.

"Hey Anna, how was your first day at school?" Elsa asked Anna as she got up from her desk and walked over to the sofa.

"It was okay I guess, I really miss our old school though. I was so popular back there. No one even paid attention to me here" Anna sat down on the sofa facing Elsa.

"Hey... we've been here one day come on! You'll find friends. I promise!"Elsa told Anna.

"Okay, well thanks. I hope I do. I was planning on watching the new episode of Riverdale. Would you like to come watch it with me?" Anna asked as she walked over to Elsa's bed and sat down.

"Sure! Put netflix on, I'll go make some popcorn for us". 

Elsa walked out of her room and checked her phone. There was a text message from an unknown number.

'Hey! Aurora here. I got your number from Razie. Would you like to go for coffee tomorrow morning before school to starbucks?'

Elsa unlocked her phone and began typing excitedly. 

'Sure! Would love too! Send me your address, I'll come get you at 7:45'

*PING*

Elsa stopped typing and saw a new message from Meghan

'Hey baby! Let's skype tonight at 9! I miss you <3'

Elsa instantly felt guilty. It was just coffee with a friend right? No harm there. She sent the text to Aurora confirming the plan and went back to her room.

"Got the popcorn!"

"Awesome! Come sit fast, i'm starting the episode!" 

Elsa and Anna watched Riverdale until they both fell asleep.
