"Is it an eating contest?" I guessed for about the thousandth time. We'd been in the car for over an hour. He seemed to take me places far away. I wasn't complaining. I let Adam and Rachel know that I was going, they were okay with it because they trusted Carter. I had the suspicion that he actually clued them in on exactly what was going on because Adam told Carter he might want to grab a sweatshirt or two because it would get cold later. I really hated that I didn't know.

"No, although, that's on the list now." He laughed and laced his fingers through mine. I loved the way he showed his affection. I loved it so much.

"Are we seeing a show on ice?"

"Like with skaters that dance and stuff?" he asked tapping the breaks for a red light.

"Yeah," I answered hopefully.

"Nope. Not it." He smiled at me and ran his fingers through his hair with his other hand. Why...did he want me to die or something?

"Uuuuuggghhhhhh," I sighed while slumping in my seat.

"Well that was a nice noise."

"I'm tired, confused, and frustrated. You're going to get sound affects." I rubbed my face and heard a chuckle from the boy I called my boyfriend.

I still wasn't used to calling him that.

"Why are you frustrated? Enjoy the surprise factor."

"I don't like not knowing."

"That's a bad thing! Just go with the flow, and let me surprise you with something."

"I don't like surprises. Especially long drawn out ones like this." I sat back up in the seat and took in a deep breath.

"Well, darling," he said sarcastically, "there will be about three more hours in the car."

"Miami? We're going to Miami?" I asked.

"Yup," he answered.

"Why?" I asked simply. I just wanted to know.

"Because I'm going to surprise my girlfriend with something."

"We haven't even been dating for long..." I said trailing off my random statement that WAS pertinent to his surprising me and calling me his girlfriend in MY head, but probably no one else's. But he went along with it.

"So? There are couples who don't have as much affection as we do and have been together forever. As long as we're comfortable, I don't see why we have to follow the normal calendar rules for relationships."

"Can I sleep?" I asked. I felt very tired, still.

"Go ahead," Carter said. He kissed my hand. "Goodnight."

"Okay..." I said. I was already drifting off.

I woke up to the impressive sound of Carter singing along softly to the quiet radio.

"I don't want easy, I want crazy. Are you with me baby? Let's be crazy." "I Want Crazy" by Hunter Hayes. He liked country too? What an interesting, interesting boy.

"Okay," I agreed aloud. I smiled when he looked at me. He blushed and smiled back.

"Good afternoon, sleeping beauty," he said.

"Good afternoon, driving beauty," I replied while stretching my cramped muscles. I looked at the time. I'd slept almost three hours. It really helped with the whole tired and passing time thing.

"We're almost there," Carter told me.

"Good. I'm sick of waiting."

"I've been driving this whole time, how do you think I feel?" he asked then smiled. He was in a good mood. Radio commercials came in through the speakers in the car, and Carter turned the radio off. I grabbed his hand and I could swear his smile got just a little bit bigger.
